GAT Recruitment Thread

Read about the GAT here.

In this thread, interested users may apply to become a GAT member. To do this, all you have to do is make a case on why you think you would make a good fit to be part of the GAT. There is no set format for doing this, simply provide reasons why you qualify tp join (ex: lots of experience with tulpas, good working with a team, good at constructive criticism, very active in the tulpa.info community, etc).

Once someone has applied on this thread, others may either vouch for them by providing reasons why they think the applicant should be accepted, or against them by providing reasons they would not. Alternatively, this may be done in PMs with either of the GAT managers, myself or Ranger. Users may not, however, nominate others to join the GAT if they have not already applied. A user must express interest on their own to be considered.

All applications and input from other users will be collected by me and brought up with the current tulpa.info staff, and they will discuss and decide which members will be accepted. Once the GAT has been re-built, the job of accepting members will go to them. For now, though, it'll be the staff's job.

If you are listed as a "Former GAT member" on the About page, you may post in this thread a request to rejoin if you are interested, just make sure you read the updated About page first, as there have been changes to it. All applicants should be sure to read that page, as well. It may change in the future, but for now take what is written there as an idea of how the GAT will work from here on out.

Hello, my name is Kopase. I have a vested interest in making the tulpa creation process simpler and more straightforward, and to that end, have conducted various amateur research projects and studies aimed at figuring out how tulpas work, what makes guides more or less effective than others, and what stages in the tulpa creation process remain consistent across all tulpamancers without conditions such as DID that may influence creation processes in unexpected ways. After a considerable amount of time pursuing this goal, I believe I have a very strong understanding of what does and does not work about most tulpamancy concepts, especially those related to initial creation (as opposed to secondary topics such as switching and imposition that, although I am very familiar with, I have not deeply looked into). I also run a relatively large Discord server that has seen numerous people progress from the initial stages of questioning the concept of a tulpa all the way through vocalization and switching. I am less predisposed to checking forums on a regular basis but am constantly available on Discord.

I also have a background in professional writing and thus understand how to provide high quality editorial comments on overall structure, flow, and organization of guides, which can be a major problem for those who do not speak English as a native language. And, as an addition, I am responsible for the Tulpa Guides YouTube channel, which currently has a full series of creation guide videos that have been submitted for review here. Some of you may have seen the videos posted there. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBp8Lze11bF2R2a-DbobUfQ

Since it's a thing, I can vouch for Kopase's writing capability and think his rampant hatred of obtuse writing will be massively valuable to the GAT Team and will be an area of expertise most of us lack. Somehow I doubt we'll find many people who are both tulpamancers and professional writers.

ha, that's what she said.

Hi. I'm Az and I'm interested in becoming a GAT member for the sole reason that I want to help the community and believe that I'll be good at it.

I have over 2 years of experience with tulpas, I'm well versed in the history of tulpamancy and how the information in the guides and general consensus has changed over time, and I'm well versed in the current guides and methods. I have an interest in both science and magic therefore I think I'll be fairly non biased, and I also have plenty of experience with various form of meditation which are supplemental to tulpa forcing. I'm one of the oldest (in age) community members (out of everyone I've met) and therefore have plenty of life experience in other areas that may or may not be relevant to tulpamancy. I'm also very active on discord.

If you want to know anything else feel free to PM me, preferably on discord but on here is also fine.

My name is Ranger and I would like to join the GAT because I am excited about helping Tulpamancers and having another opportunity to contribute to the Tulpa community.

  • I have been active since July and my host has been around since late January 2018.
  • I love to give advice and help people working through the creation process.
  • I'm not afraid to give constructive criticism, and I have shared my opinions and thoughts on more recent submissions.
  • Since my creation was accidental, I have a different perspective on Tulpa creation.
  • I am open to different ideas and experiences because I am still learning.
  • Despite having a bias for science, I appreciate metaphysical perspectives.

I am very active on the forums and I sometimes use Discord. I prefer PM's through Tulpa.info for communication, but DMs are fine too. I currently check Discord at least a few times a week, where I respond to PMs within 48 hours.

I'm Ranger, GrayTheCat's tulpa, and I love hippos! I also like cake and chatting about stuff. I go by Rosalin or Ronan sometimes. You can call me Roz but please don't call me Ron.

My other headmates have their own account now.

If I missed seeing your art, please PM/DM me!

I support Ranger's bid. His perspective is open, yet still within the realm of tulpamancy as it's presented here. His comments are well thought out and successful in staying on point and remaining succinct with enough meat to forward the thread topic; I believe this fits well with guide review. Ranger and Cat have obviously done their homework and I believe will continue to do so.

Heya, this is Colleen of the Chalin System. We've got 5 years of experience with tulpamancy, and are interested in becoming more active in contributing to the community. We're already fairly active on Discord, and are looking to once again be active on the forums. We're interested in joining the GAT and helping curate the further growth of the community's pooled knowledge.

EDIT: This user redacted their interest in joining - Apollo

I would like to join the GAT because I care a lot about the wellbeing of this community and I think that I could do a good job at making sure that all guides that get approved are quality.

I think that I would make a good GAT member because I have spent a lot of time researching and learning about tulpa phenomenon, I have experience in all of the major practices of tulpamancy (tulpa creation, possession, switching, imposition), and I am amoung the most active members of the .info forums at this time and am also quite active on discord. I do my best at keeping an open mind and not assuming that something won't work, though I will demand strong evedence behind anything metaphysical claimed in a guide. The only reason that I can think of against me being a member is that I've only had a tulpa for 9 months, though I assure you that in that time I have learned a lot and am probably just as knowledgeable as some people who've had tulpas for more time.

I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much.

I'll second Bre. He's well-spoken, active member and able to provide sound and specific advice. I think he would make a great addition to the GAT.
