Coaxing Tulpae Into Talking

Bin

Question

I notice no one talks much about this while having a problem about it. Usually people complain about their non-vocal sentient tulpa just hardly managing to talk if at all but don't know what to do.

So, if your tulpa is trying to talk, or can't really do it, I found a helpful method for getting them to a point where they can start figuring out how to talk.

First, if your tulpa has ever talked, even just once, figure out what their "mindvoice" sounded like. Now, get your tulpa in your wonderland, and tell them what you're going to do. You're going to use their mindvoice to say a sentence, and then the tulpa can either try to say it with you at the same time, or you can say one half and they say the other. It should be a simple sentence such as "the rain in spain stays mainly on the plain". Make sure to tell them what sentence you're going to practice on of course.

If they don't have a mindvoice, you can either wait until they try to talk or just use whatever voice you want them to use, I imagine they would pick it up anyway.

I did this after my tulpa was just barely able to get a single word out, and in just one night we got to a point where she could make whole sentences. While she wasn't too good at talking, we got to a point where it was up to her to practice, so I didn't need to work on it anymore.

My tulpa seems to already be able to form sentences. Although he said his vocabulary is not too extensive now. He has a very quiet voice that I have to listen for and trust. Trust is the most important factor. Giving him the benefit of the doubt.

He says he was with me when I tried to create an anthro in my own internal world a year ago. I'm sort of picking it up from there and going full steam ahead. Though sometimes Chance gets his words crossed.

Chance, an anthro husky, wolf or fox.

Birthdate September 20, 2014.

Sentient October 1, 2014.

А что, если страны чудес нет?

This means "what if you don't have a wonderland?".

I imagine the logical thing to do is just talk to your tulpa however you do normally, but you might as well wait for the big dogs' input on this.

And in Russian:

Spoiler

Логично просто обратиться к тульпе, как у вас это обычно происходит, без вондера. Но я не большой мастак в этом деле пока, так что на всякий случай подожди и совета бывалых.

That sounds reasonable. I would even posit that having wonderlands aren't even integral to tulpamancy. They're just convenient and fun for interacting in a visual way with your tulpa. If you don't mind have more limited control, you could even use video games as a stand in. Or you could write stories together to focus and visualize your mental adventures. Even do an in-system tabletop rpg session. Wonderlands don't have to be relegated to a purely mental mind palace thing. That just typically seems to be the go to and is really rewarding if you have the creative, mental and emotional energy. Jaina and I have a couple pocket dimensions or locations in our wonderland but most of the time we just chitchat in the seats of our host body cockpit.
