(Asking for a Friend) Is it possible for your body to slow down (Movements and Talking) when switching/ fronting

Here is how they described what it felt like

"well it felt a bit like dissociation? But not really. It was during a convo wjth a friend and I started talking slower and more childlike, and when I tried to move it felt like I'd have to try hard to make it happen. Like my body would send the impulse to move but I had to follow through with it to make it happen, instead of it just happening. But Hannah didn't move or anything either and once I figured out I can move, I did and it was fine
But it felt weird almost like sleep paralysis"

My friend now has a Fear or Uncertainty about fronting/switching with their tulpa

what could cause this, and is it possible?

That sounds like dissociation to me - and they said "It felt like dissociation, but not really"? Is that implying they actually have experienced dissociation in the past? Because different or not, that kind of says it's way more likely to be the case, to me.

It's unrelated to tulpamancy, but not necessarily unrelated to self-placebo related to knowing about tulpamancy. Kind of like a hypochondriac enabling themselves to self-placebo into thinking they have X/Y/Z diseases once they've learned about said diseases.

If disruptive experiences like that keep happening, it may be medically significant and they should see a doctor.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
