Suggestion: threads and posts per page increase

Recommended Posts

For threads per page:

User CP -> Edit Options -> Thread View Options -> Forum Display Options -> Threads Per Page

I have mine set to 50.

For posts per page:

User CP -> Edit Options -> Thread View Options -> Posts Per Page.

I have mine set to 50.

There isn't an option for "infinite," and it may crash people's browsers if they set it to that and end up viewing a really really large topic/forum.

Well what's the largest possible?

I knew infinite wouldn't work; I just wanted to give the impression that the bigger the better, and therefore the biggest the besg.

Uh, "50.100 posts per page"?

There is no "largest possible," I pretty much set it in the options AdminCP (like now, there should be a new option to have up to 100 posts per page).

If you're realistically needing to view more than 100 threads per page (and more than 100 posts per page), I can increase it to however much you're planning on using. I don't always consider bigger better, as it is possible to overdo it. For instance, I'm happy with viewing 50 threads per page on a personal preference.

Just before you posted, I updated my post above you.

"50.100 posts per page" is what it say in the options.

And referring to what you said about how many posts per page, that's why it's an option. I think that 300 posts per page is good, if it doesn't cause server strain.

Eh, 300? That seems like quite a lot to me. I can't even fathom...why would you need 300 posts per page?

Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
