Guest May 27, 2012 Share May 27, 2012 A few times now, I've had a different name than the one that I use for my tulpa pop into the back of my head seemingly at random. I'm in the middle of the personality stage, and my tulpa is not sentient yet. If I change my tulpa's name, will it be confused or think that it's a new tulpa? Is there anything that I can do to make the process go more smoothly?
tulpatalk May 27, 2012 Share May 27, 2012 Let the tulpa name itself. What you're experiencing might be something of this sort. [Note: Opinions]
Guest May 27, 2012 Share May 27, 2012 Let the tulpa name itself. What you're experiencing might be something of this sort. It's not sentient enough to choose its own name yet though. I don't want a name change to confuse the process of it becoming sentient.
Guest Anonymous May 27, 2012 Share May 27, 2012 Here's how to do it: Look at your tulpaRight click, rename But seriously, it could only happen through deviation.

alda May 27, 2012 Share May 27, 2012 I changed the name of my tulpa recently, after I found out the old name was causing subconscious association with an existing character. (and a lot of people were using the name already anyways). Took a while to get used to the new name, but I think it went trough. I'd say don't worry about your tulpa being confused. What matters is that YOU are not confused. IT BEGINS
Sheep LI May 27, 2012 Share May 27, 2012 Now that I think about it, I think that I might let my tulpa name herself. The name I've planned out for her is Shai. Pronounced 'Shayee' instead of 'shy', I'm beginning to think that letting her name herself is once again giving myself too much control in her creation. I half control her personality yet fully control her visual appearance. I feel that I should relinquish some of my control here with her name. Unless she has no objections or ideas, she'll be Shai. I want to make a tulpa. That's why I'm here. Tulpa Name: Shai, ✓Personality, ✓Visualization, ✓Touch, ✓Smell, Body Language and Sentience ❑
Guest applesauce99 June 9, 2012 Share June 9, 2012 I will get random names popping up in my head all the time, but to make addressing (spelling, fuck) it easier, I stick with one. In case it doesn't like it I let it know during personality stage that the name can be temp.
