Guest Anonymous October 23, 2012 Share October 23, 2012 So it's been 4 months since the last global moderator elections occured. Since then, shit's gone down the tubes. The current mod squad was elected, at least from what I've seen, was decided on through a set of well chosen, carefully considered decisions without any real say from the community. I know that I asked about how to become a mod, and Phi gave this wonderful list of prerequisites (which I must say myself I don't meet very well). But regardless of that, I think we should have another election. Perhaps Amadeus should be bumped down to moderator because he's away a lot (from my experience), and an explanation for why TOG was removed, because not everyone idles on the IRC or has access to the super secret mod mail. All the mods seem competent and active, but perhaps new ones should be elected? I honestly don't know, but that's my .02 on the situation. Plus IRC mods/whatever the term for the half star people. I think we should have elections for them based on how much time they spend idling and actually moderation on that channel. I don't quite know how that would work but regardless. Guest ThunderClap October 23, 2012 Share October 23, 2012 The website doesn't need new mods, the IRC does. The IRC has enough mods. If it needed new or more mods, #tulpa.info would be a 24/7 circlejerk fest. Though it has its fair share of unattended circle jerking.

Deleted October 23, 2012 Share October 23, 2012 I vote Jimmy never becomes a mod because he is 14 years old and clearly a Homestuck fan. Also some of his actions sicken me greatly. Also TOG was removed because he just flat out left and is not coming back. No other reason, no drama, he just left. Amadeus is probably the one I see doing the most work. There is no super secret mod mail where we discuss who to ban next and how the upload of the virus is going. Chosing mods based on how much time they spend idling is a terrible idea. Its like if the US choose their president based on who hung around the White House most. Bob the Janitor would be running the country. We are all mad here

Kadoh October 23, 2012 Share October 23, 2012 Jimmy, why would you ask for Amadeus to be bumped down? He is obviously an admin for a reason. Everyone who deserves to be a mod is one, I don't think LucidAcid would want to be one, but he deserves it. I dunno if this is the right place to ask, but why was Anonymous banned? My opinions are all subject to change.

412 October 23, 2012 Share October 23, 2012 Well... i don't want this taken the wrong way , but , well , i think it's about time Jake was replaced. That said , LucidAcid and QB2 do seem like they're fit for the job. other than that i really don't think any changes should be made. So , yeah , seconding Kadoh above. Guest ThunderClap October 23, 2012 Share October 23, 2012 So you're telling me if I leave my phone on all day connected to the irc, and ALL I do is bitch to people about being on topic, I become a mod. No, idle time shouldn't be a factor.
