Lavender August 21 Author Share August 21 Ok, here are my latest photographs. It's been a while since we posted here, including a trip to New York State, so there some of these shots were taken there. Those were taken at Taughannock Falls in Trumansburg, NY, Old Fort Niagara on Lake Ontario, the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY, and the American Falls in Niagara Falls State Park. I was trying to capture the sense of power from having the continuous thundering and gushing noise of the falls right above us. Part of the work involved trying to get our 63-year-old knees to climb up the 100-odd stairs needed to get to the platform where we could stand and look up at the falls. I love that! We honestly don't know what those weird things are. They might be a misguided attempt to be decorative or they might serve some purpose (ventilation? HVAC?) and the architect decided it would be cool to disguise their purpose. They're on private property so we can't take a closer look. But we thought it would be a cool picture.
