Can memory problems caused by ptsd in the host be passed on to tulpa?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I have a question for you, I have symptoms of memory loss due to ptsd, if I set my tulpa to "good memory", if I create a tulpa, will this symptom be passed on to my tulpa? That is, will his memory be bad too? I don't know if this question is in line with your mainstream values, and I'm very sorry if it offends you!If anyone would like to answer my questions, I would really appreciate it!

@Alan walker Since tulpas use the same basic hardware as the host, they're going to be susceptible to the same memory issues as the host. But having said that, it IS possible to train a tulpa to be better at certain things. Basically, you are training your brain via a tulpa. My host and I have done this to a certain degree--I am far less susceptible to depression than my host, for instance. Memory sounds like a hard one to do, but I'm not going to tell you it's impossible!

With a dissociative condition it is possible to have some alters that remember specific events and memories and others that don’t because of how the brain splits them off from each other. I don’t know enough about PTSD alone though to know if would also cause this kind of fragmentation?

If your bad memory is due to your conscious mind wanting to shut out a specific traumatic event …. you are creating a Tulpa with your conscious mind so they probably won’t have access to the memories that are the cause of your PTSD. (DID alters are created by the unconscious mind)

However you could train them to help you with daily routine memories eg if you need to take medication at a set time but often forget. You could use an alarm and ask your Tulpa to learn the time you need to take medication or to remember to eat or shower etc and then the Tulpa can take over the function of the alarm and you may find even if you forgot to set it your Tulpa may say. ‘hey you haven’t taken your meds yet today’ so they can help you in that way without accessing or re-triggering any memories you’d rather forget.
