Tulpas vs. Real friends.

real people cannot be manipulated in any way

Uh. In fact i'd say it's the opposite, how can you manipulate someone when he can read your mind? I don't find i have much control over my tupper's behavior. Also, you can not have anything other than a fundamentally honest relationship with a tupper, i think.

You can suppress their ability to access your mind; as in they are incapable of reading your mind for a given period of time or a given amount of information. And I was talking in a realistic sense, as in you cannot force someone to think a given line of thought; it is different between people and tulpae. Tulpae can be made to think a certain way, and can be modified. If that were not the case, there would be no need for forcing; you need a basic template to start with. Also, people do not randomly deviate.

IMO (only applies to best friend type of relationship)

Tulpa best friend

+Can be anything you wanted

+Will always be there

+Helps you understand yourself

+May gives good advice

+helps you during hard time

-Requires certain patience during creation

-Is not "physically" real

-May requires practices in constantly thinking about it before gaining independence

Real best friend

+No creation needed

+Is also nice

+No constant forcing needed

+Is physically real

+Will also helps you during hard time

-hard to find

-Can he be trusted?

-won't always be there

-you have to help him with his struggle too

This seems like a close match, but since there's a saying "the more, the merrier", I'll have both. Thank you.

Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail.

Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR.

Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.

You don't have to help your tulpa with her struggles? That's something both friends have in common.

I'm brazilian and my english is not really good, I'll do every mistake you imagine, but I'll try to avoid them.

Just going to play devil's advocate with the general consensus here...

Tulpa can only offer perspectives that you already have, they just bring it out of your subconscious. Real people can better you by giving you a totally different view on a situation, something that you may have never thought of. Yeah, it means you clash with real people more often, but it helps with problems more than a circlejerk in your head would.

Oh, and

real sex > tupper sex

.

IMO both of those points are debatable. True, they can't know something that you really don't know. But they have access to a ton of memories you don't. And a lot of what determines the sort of ideas a person has is their personality and way of thinking. Once fully separated from the host's consciousness, a tulpa's personality and way of thinking often become every bit as different as another person.

And like everything tulpa related, it's supposed to get a ton better with practice.

Lyra: human female, ~17

Evan: boy, ~14, was an Eevee

Anera: anime-style girl, ~12; Lyra made her

Tulpae >= Real people

Prove me wrong

Tulpae cannot exist without real people, therefore tulpae ≤ real people.

The way I see it, tulpae ≈ real people, and the rest is all just details.

All of my posts, as well as any posts authored by my tulpa(s), are completely fabricated. Nothing I write is to be taken as either fact or evidence of fact.
