Sandra (host):
Hello everyone, I came here because we need somewhat of advice.
I have the problem that I dissociate too often if I am not really motivated. I generally lose track of my surrounding and experience memory dissociation (as in not recognizing memories as mine even if I am fronting and also them being drastically more difficult to recall). This happens by itself, but I can also intentionally do this.
Furthermore, I am way less energetic and generally more tired than usual. [looses self-consciousness, switching]

Void (tulpa):
I can somewhat assist so that we can still perform tasks, but this is extremely bad overall for concentration and doing anything really thought-intensive which doesn’t work in our current educational setting. This has started to get out of hand about two weeks ago, and we don’t really know how we should move on. I more and more take responsibility of the body, *which in itself isn't bad* but in terms of concentration I *can't* really take the role as a primary thinker.
We think this problem has to do with general plurality, but Sandra has also been experimenting a lot over the last months with beliefs and meditation.
We generally are not really confident to take on further responsibilities and don't know how to continue since this also affects me — right now, with me fronting, I feel somewhat like in a trance, focused on writing, not really able to break my focus and Sandra isn’t present at all.
Any advice is appreciated,
thanks!

(Also thanks for everyone active on this forum! [we don’t really have the experience to contribute back])

Well, that's certainly not a tulpamancy issue that simple advice could address. Whether DID (dissociation) or ADHD (struggling to focus), those are problems for a psychiatrist to diagnose and help you with. ADHD meds can do wonders for people with problems focusing/remembering things, though you may need to try multiple and at different doses to find one that works for you, assuming you are diagnosed with ADHD. I don't really know if there's medication for DID, I think treatment for that is usually more coping stuff, and that isn't the sort of thing that would help with what you're talking about, so, if it doesn't seem like DID to you, maybe leave out talking about being plural to a professional. Just talk about your symptoms of dissociating/struggling to focus I suppose, unless your plurality feels heavily involved somehow.

Yeah, sorry, there's not really tulpamancy advice to help with those problems, look into Dissociative Identity Disorder and/or ADHD and a psychiatrist (or a therapist can lead you there as well)

Hi. I'm one of Luminesce's tulpas. Unlike the others, I don't think I stand out too much from him personality wise.

I'm just special because "I'm a tulpa". So I don't think I've much to offer, here. I'm happy enough to just be with him.

Hi

I (Host) have AuDHD, experience heavy dissociation at times and have alters and also have Tulpa’s. Whilst fortunately I no longer have to attend college or work just getting through a couple of jobs around the house can be a challenge most days. I also experience Chronic Fatigue.

Your Tulpa’s can help with daily living and can help with organising your alters. Jess is our gatekeeper and emotional support for whoever is out front she is rarely out in the body by herself but likes to share control by blending with us…this can actually increase our focus because we tell her what we really must get done the next day or that day and she helps by making sure the alter needed for the job appears at the right time and supports them while they are out ‘working’.

Other Tulpa’s also help from the inside for example by making sure littles don’t get to the front at inappropriate moments as well as by being able to communicate with Jess out front who can tell them who needs to be ‘up front’ for them to send out. We have become a lot better organised.

Also if you are already DID and already have alters your Tulpa’s can learn their skills by blending with some of them when they front and learning their skill set. This in itself can give that alter more focus as you then essentially have 2 blended that have the same skills strengthening the focus on those skills for that time…try and do it for shorter periods …say set an hour aside to do something you need to do…set a timer both of you focus entirely on the task and nothing else until timer goes off then stop and take a break….if an hour is too long ..start with shorter sessions and it will depend on what the task/subject is of course too and where it happens to whether you also need to be aware of what’s going on around you too?   without knowing exactly what educational setting you are in and what you need to focus on its difficult to say
