How and why did you choose your tulpa(e)'s name?

I named mine Scarlet before she was sentient. I'm a big bully and named her that from my favorite boss from the horrendously bad game Silent Hill Homecoming (AKA Homocumming, Downcoming) because I have a bit of an obsession with bad games. I just really liked the name, and red is my favorite color. Regardless she can't change it so there.

Recently though we both liked the name Fey and decided to make that her last name (we don't want to do any name changes because that's a slippery slope, start changing one thing and next thing you know they got a new form every week). I got it from a porn webcomic and it stuck with me ever since. It means fairy, which I think is fitting for a tulpa. Also her name literally means "Red Fairy" which is metal as hell.

I'm surprised I never posted in this thread before, maybe I posted this elsewhere.

I chose Nymphali's name because it was the name of a Sylveon I recieved in a wonder trade. He really grew on me, and eventually he led my main party. When deciding on a form for my tulpa, I decided that my favorite pokemon would be best because I already had some sort of attachment to him, which I believed would help in the forcing process.

Turns out "Nymphali" is the standard name for all French Sylveon, to my surprise! I learned that only a week ago. I still adore the name, and it just kind of stuck with me.

Hey, everyone! So this is my third try at making a Tulpa and I need a new name for her. She will be a white winged wolf with blue, black, and silver feathers on each wing. Can anyone give me some ideas? I have one, Nova, but I would like to have a few more to choose from. Any ideas? Thanks!

I love Nova with all my heart.

Espoiria, from the french word for hope, espoir. It's the first thing I thought of, and seems fitting.

Very new to tulpas, but willing to try. In other news: may Nuka-Cola be eternal.

I'm not sure but I think Martina is suggesting Shibe. We're not into making wolf-themed characters so we can't really help much, sorry.

She doesn't have to have a name right now, you could let her pick out her own name in time. The name you give her could possibly change. Also i feel that giving a name to your tulpa instead of asking others what it should be is better, it is more personal and strengthens the bond between you too. Do your own research and find a name that best suits her.

I second this, vehemently. I suggest finding root words for specific attributes, then applying them toward a unique name. Wait to see what sticks. With any luck, you'll eventually hear them declare their own, self-generated appellation in due time.
