"Ravagestar's Sphere" How to drive off intrusive thoughts.

Ravagestar

Question

This is a technique I devised to drive off Parrotnoia and give your tulpa the chance to show movement on their own.

*NOTE* The following guide will no doubt sound completely ridiculous, I advise that you bear with me and at least try it before you say that this is utter bullshit :D

Background:

When I was just beginning to force my mind kept throwing random crap inside my wonderland preventing me from really accomplishing anything. I was scared that I might be puppeting Roxanne's movement so I simply told myself there is nothing I can do to control her. To help reinforce that, and help stave off the intrusive thoughts. I imagined a black sphere around us, this sphere was impenetrable. On top of that, I gave Roxanne the ability to dissolve it, I had no control over this sphere in any way. My mind could not invade and interfere with the events in anyway.

*NOTE* For this to actually work you need to believe you have no control over it.

Other methods: In case this doesn't make a lot of sense, allow me to help make it make sense... By using ridiculous symbolism.

For instance, imagine Gandalf. He is standing right next to the giant black sphere incasing your tulpa. You are not in the sphere with her/him. Gandalf is intimidating as fuck. Should you come any closer, gandalf will kick your ass. If you've never seen Lord of the rings, then imagine a huge, six-foot tall, bipedal cockroach. This cockroach is a gang-banger and he lives in a really bad part of town. He is so pretentious that he simply does not give two fucks about the power of your imagination. He is holding a scary looking pocket knife, and he isn't too shy about swinging it around. You can't approach the big black sphere at all, because he is threatening to cut you. "I cut you man! I cut you so bad, you wish I no cut you so bad!" What you're doing, is intimidating yourself, you're keeping intrusive thoughts at bay. Now you officially do not have to worry about you parroting/puppeting your tulpa, because the big, scary ass cockroach will knife your ass if you approach. So just let your tulpa move around on their own and come over to you and ask: "Wtf is with the giant cockroach?"

Explanation:

You're psyching yourself out. You distract your thoughts so your Tulpa's will shine through. You're still focusing on your tulpa, despite the weird giant cockroach looking at you with utter contempt. It's distraction through intimidation, and remember, your tulpa is the only one in control of the sphere. YOU HAVE NO POWER HERE. :D

As this is an experimental process, I want you guys to tell me your experiences with this technique.

And remember

ALL HAIL THE HYPNO TOAD O_O

This is actually THE most helpful concentration guide ever.... of all time. or atleast for me it is, really though, none of the other guides even come close to this one. I started tulpaforcing back in May, but after about two weeks I kinda' went on hiatus because I couldn't focus. Intrusive thoughts are annoying as fuck. I'll make sure to try this tonight and see how it goes.

Stay focused guys, we don't want to derail the thread just yet.

I feel this is less of a guide, and more of a quick, general tip. The majority of the length of this post was drawn out by attempts at humor, and other relatively unnecessary information. If you were to trim the fat, you may well be left with 3-4 sentences.

I feel, for this to make it to the "guides" section, it would have to be fleshed out quite a bit--with more than just one quick symbolism tip.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

There’s all sorts of intentions for comical value, a few words like “crap” and other random ramblings makes me wonder if OP really has intrusive thought damage control established to give advice on.

If the Gandalf breathing over your shoulder symbolism was stripped out, it would be shorter. This is all implications that isn’t really something pragmatic for practice, and is more of scare if anything.

Disapproved.

This is all just symbolism. While symbolism does work, it's super subjective and this guide just says well you gotta believe in it to work! Well duh. But if people feel what they're doing is stupid and they just have to ~~believe~~, they're not going to be seeing that many results. The symbolism they use has to be something they know will work for them, what makes sense for them. Don't be afraid to listen to yourself, if you get an idea then try it. Someone else's idea doesn't always work.

This is written more than a bit oddly. I'd approve it for Tips if all the junk was taken out, but the OP doesn't seem to be around so that's a probably-permanent disapproval from me.

Disapproved for guide section in its current state, blank vote for Tips section, may change the vote to approved, if the author edits it, however the author hasn't been online for about 4 months.

The general idea behind this guide is sound, but the symbolism presented is too personal and overcomplicated.

Yes, it's perfectly possible to make yourself believe that you have no control over some part of your imagination through autosuggestion, it's also possible to improve one's focus, visualization quality and plenty of other things, however this is a skill each person must learn on their own and using other people's symbolism may or may not give the desired results.

This is more of an example of what worked for this one person, but the reader needs to find something that will work for them - they'll need to work out how their mind and imagination works in practice and use that to achieve the results they want.

If the author tries make it more clear that this is merely one example of what worked for him, and he'd attempt to guide the reader through finding their own way, I would approve of it even as a guide.

4/11 GAT members have disapproved of this guide submission. Unless the remaining 7 GAT members approve of it before the deadline (12-30-2013) for Tips & Tricks, Guide Submissions, or even Resources, it will be shifted to GD or wherever the majority vote sees is suitable.

Disapproved due to its content.

However, beneath all of the rambling, is a good point. When feeling strong emotions, one is often a state of high focus. They can be used to drown all other things out. For some this may be easier than merely relaxing and calming their mind.
