I seem to have a problem with making tulpas...

Recommended Posts

I usually wouldn't come here for help, but why not.

So I have a problem with being able to create tulpas tooooooo easy.

My third tulpa Twilight, I accidentally made while I was having an awful migraine, my 9th tulpa Samus, apparently was dwelling in my second wonderland for a while, and my 10th tulpa Fluttershy, who had just appeared only minutes ago... But I decided to erase her... Part of me died a little when I did...

So, my question is, what are some methods to avoid creating more tulpas so easily?

If you don't want to create tulpas, then stop believing in accidental tulpas.

It's not like the brain can connect enough neurons to create another sentient, self-aware being in under a minute.

And you know the brain can't do this how?

Thanks, but telling me to not believe what can happen can't happen doesn't help much.

You're just being dismissive.

Mentality means everything, so I'm asking you to change your mentality about how you view tulpas somewhat.

Your mind makes it real; that's the idea behind tulpas. So convince yourself that accidental tulpas won't pop up and your mind will make that idea real. Believe me, if you really want to convince yourself and have a good reason for doing so, it will happen. Hell, if you have a bad reason for doing so it can still happen pretty easily if you're in a stressful situation.

Just come up with a wonderland where your tulpas can live happily ever after, and leave several of them there. You can check in on them occasionally, or not. You got along for years without them, and they can get along just fine without you. Plus everyone will probably be happier than if you try to erase or kill them.

Incidentally, I don't think you really can erase or kill a tulpa. I've heard of people reuniting with tulpas they believed to be dead for decades.

"'Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you.'"

STOP

SPROUTING

PSEUDOSCIENCE

This entire forum is probably a laughing stock to anybody in the field of psychology and neuroscience and feel no lament for it. No wonder so many people leave here.

It's incredibly obvious why tulpa will never be taken seriously and I scoff at anyone who thinks anything else will ever happen.

and @ OP, just don't take those seriously. They're just intrusive thoughts that you think are tulpae. You can't accidentally make a tulpa, oyou can only turn an intrusive thought into one, which you are doing. But like Shui said you can just leave them in another place. Really they'll be totally frozen like a shut-down computer but if you believe they're frolicking somewhere else it may as well be reality to you/them.

I could do that, though I'd rather avoid the problem in the first place. If there's no way to avoid having intrusive thoughts, then I'll guess I'll treat them like "threatening" intrusive thoughts as I have with similar cases.

And what I said about the pseudoscience. Yep, that's what was sorta steering me away from this place.

Actually and ironically my main reason for making an account here was to help others without making up pseudoscience theories.

But so far I've only been helped. :p

You could just treat them like any other intrusive thought, just something to humor you until you forget about it. Sort of like an NPC in a game. You really just have a problem of taking it all too seriously.
