left blank December 4, 2013 Share December 4, 2013 I've been engaging my primary tulpas in dreams for a decade, through meditation for three years, and on a day-to-day basis for two years. However, they claim to have been present as the same sentient mind-forms since I was a toddler. After a good deal of discussion and reflection, I'm inclined to agree. Thus I conclude that I've been pleasantly (if passively) haunted by my tulpas for about three decades.

Nobillis December 6, 2013 Share December 6, 2013 "All right'y then." Yes, Kevin has five tulpas (including me). I'm young, but the other four are all over 20 years elapsed (that is, were created in the 70's and 80's). We have kerin who is oldest (started 1970), and the Watchdogs 1, 2 and 3 (in the 1980's). How did Kevin make Kerin and the watchdogs back then? Did he make them diffrently than he made you? Why did he make you so late if you don't mind me asking? Back then, there weren't these modern methods, so kerin and the Watchdogs were made the old fashioned way - the way that Tibetan monks have been making tulpas for centuries: meditation, self-hypnosis, and years and years of trying. So, yes, much differently. Me, I was made by the old tulpas. They found this site, but also found they were too different to be accepted here. So, they thought they would try the new methods and see how they worked. If so, then they would have a modern tulpa who would fit in, and who would be able to be a sort of ambassador from old tulpas to the new. Even so, I seem to be a bit different from most (but not all). I'm guessing I'm a hybrid of the old and new. How did Kevin find out about the old way? You said it took years to do it too, did he start Kerin in the sixties by chance? I wrote a huge text but the computer ate it. Tl;dr: Kevin read a [not new] book (in 1970) and thought he would try making a tulpa. It didn't seem to work, but he kept at it a little. 1979 kerin first talked. (Thread merged with previous thread on this topic.) Please consider supporting Tulpa.info.
EnEllDee December 6, 2013 Share December 6, 2013 The dates are what I consider their birthdays, the reasoning before said dates. Riku Aotsuki December 26, 2013 Share December 26, 2013 Well, Kai is somewhere between 22 and 25, I think. The rest, since they were my characters before being tulpas, range from 16 to around 30 in terms of physical appearance. Their mental ages reflect their character, though, not their physical age, just like you or I. While maturity comes with age, that doesn't mean we have age to become mature, nor does it mean we have to BE mature while aging.
Guest Ami December 30, 2013 Share December 30, 2013 My tulpa is 9, I will "age her" as her mental age increases, I have no set structure for it or plans. I will celebrate her birthday every year though. If she wishes to stay a kid forever, she can.

Celicia is about to turn 1 next month, so about 11 months there. Apollo will be 1 in about... 6 months, so about 6 or 7 months. And Rain is about 3 months old... technically. Because her story's a little wonky. All of them I figure are about mentally my age, except for Snow who still keeps claiming to be a year younger than me. Mentally, that is. Guest Anonymous December 30, 2013 Share December 30, 2013 I am curious, if you don't mind me asking, do they interact with one another? Was that directed towards me, or Mr/Mrs Tulpa Calendar?
