Srn347 December 9, 2019 Share December 9, 2019 A stick will fall faster if it's pointed vertically rather than on its side (because it has less air resistance), and an object that would otherwise float can sink if it falls fast enough into the water. That might not be the only reason though. Yo, my name is Sean and I'm the host of 2 tulpas: Sente and Mae. You'll know when they're talking because Sente talks in yellow text and Mae talks in blue text.
jean-luc December 9, 2019 Share December 9, 2019 Yeah actually I'm not so sure on the sticks. Boats I'm pretty confident about. I don't visit as often as I used to. If you want me to see something, make sure to quote a post of mine or ping me @jean-luc
Srn347 December 9, 2019 Share December 9, 2019 Interestingly enough, boats that sink (and therefore fill with water) are contain tons of air pockets. There was 1 person who got trapped in a boat underwater and managed to survive there for 2 days before being rescued. He thought it had been much longer, due to the effect oxygen deprivation has on time perception. Yo, my name is Sean and I'm the host of 2 tulpas: Sente and Mae. Luminesce December 9, 2019 Share December 9, 2019 I mean, when Michael of Vsauce was in a little isolation room for 3 days, by like 12 hours he was already guessing far more time had passed than it had and his oxygen was fine. I think isolation (and not seeing the sun) might just do that to you. Also you said "are contain tons of air" Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature. My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
