Breloomancer October 19, 2020 Share October 19, 2020 it's the sound that you make when you push air out of your lungs and into your mouth while vibrating your vocal cords and slightly raising the tip of your tongue towards your alveolar ridge. in english, an alveolar approximate is also likely to involve some amount of labialization, which means that you also slightly move your lips together. it being syllabic just refers to it's role in the syllable, that being that it serve as the nucleus, rather than as a consonant I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much. Jamie October 19, 2020 Share October 19, 2020 Bre, you really need to start giving english examples with your IPA and with defining phonemes. /ɹ/, like the "R" in "or." The American R like "errrr" I think that's the sound... The world is far, the world is wide; the man needs someone by his side. Our Thread
