Mhm. Debating is a tricky subject because words like "winner" and "loser" have value when in the real world they don't. There is rarely ever a right answer, only varying degrees of wrong.

except for when you are Breloomancer, in which case you are always right

Or IceCreeper909, then you are always right.

Hey there, the name's Bryan. In system Re:Body(In order of the rainbow):

Sean, Esper, Blinky, Compact, Janey, Kyle, Gwen'd, Gwen, Emily, Rollin, Waynin, Trease, Layy, Justin, Chloe, Zachery, and Elliot.

I've been here a while. Much longer than I thought I'd be. Our system was founded October 2nd, 2018. In early 2020, we decided that due to our systems exponential growth, we'd limit who would be active. Now, every month, we do a check to see who wishes to be in dormancy and who wishes to be active. Currently, for the month of April, 2023, we've got myself(Bryan), Janey(Co-host), Emily, Layy, Chloe, and Esper(sub-rep). After over 2 long years, we can finally switch :)

Bryan is currently swapped in as host, Esper is sub-rep.

I've never liked debates. I want discussions to be a cooperative affair rather than a competitive one. Everyone can bring their evidence and experience to the table, then we compare notes and cross-reference to determine the most accurate solution/facts/state-of-affairs/useful policy, etc. Instead let's skew emotional weight as possible to evidence that backs a claim we want to prove and ignore evidence that contradicts it. I think debates can be fun and can be useful in some situations but I value the most accurate and tested information over political/social supremacy propped up by a conclusion I support with evidence I like. I also value percentile outcomes over just black and white, duality of extremes spectrums. Nature loves dynamic equilibrium and power struggle so sometimes things can be mixed, contradictory, in conflict without a clear winner. The present is always fluid. Proving myself correct is almost never my goal; becoming more correct is.

On stats- Gray is still taking that, it was just the Calculus class that was dropped.

On debates- I agree, cooperative discussion is far more useful than arguing "rightness" on any particular issue. I bet if we had future presidents and political figures sit down and demonstrate their negotiation skills, we would have far better leadership than we do now.

I'm Ranger, GrayTheCat's cobud (tulpa), and I love hippos! I also like cake and chatting about stuff. I go by Rosalin or Ronan sometimes. You can call me Roz but please don't call me Ron.

My other headmates have their own account now.

politicians, when in debates, have the mindset "if you compromise or concede, you lose", and unfortunately, they are probably right, since showing fallibility tends to look much more like weakness than strength, even though in reality the opposite is true

For some reason, people seem to think if they fake it hard enough, they can make reality what they claim it is. They prey upon our need for strong leadership and use charisma to blind us. But sooner or later the reality check comes due. We just have to be strong when others are weak, not hide from uncomfortable truth and do everything we can to help those we care about. We can't help everyone, but we can help those around us.

reality* is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away

*objective reality, not consensus reality nor personal reality

Precisely. Gravity don't care about your opinion numbers, social media influence or feelings. It just does its thing, rain or shine.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
