Hey there, the name's Bryan. In system Re:Body(In order of the rainbow):

Sean, Esper, Blinky, Compact, Janey, Kyle, Gwen'd, Gwen, Emily, Rollin, Waynin, Trease, Layy, Justin, Chloe, Zachery, and Elliot.

I've been here a while. Much longer than I thought I'd be. Our system was founded October 2nd, 2018. In early 2020, we decided that due to our systems exponential growth, we'd limit who would be active. Now, every month, we do a check to see who wishes to be in dormancy and who wishes to be active. Currently, for the month of April, 2023, we've got myself(Bryan), Janey(Co-host), Emily, Layy, Chloe, and Esper(sub-rep). After over 2 long years, we can finally switch :)

Bryan is currently swapped in as host, Esper is sub-rep.

yeah but what if your host has like stepped away from being in control and now your in control but you dont like the body your in??

Yeah, that's the case with switching, which is what we do. For possession that would be the default thought - "That's my host's body" - for switching though it needs to be an intentional thought. By default, they would've been uncomfortable if they fully identified with my body as "them". But instead they just accept that it's the body they're temporarily using, and the body they live in. I guess there could still be some dysphoria or dissociation if they chose to really just sit there and assess how the body in the mirror doesn't fit them, but you can just.. not do that.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

I was saying, when doing possession, a tulpa would naturally be controlling but not totally identified with the body, so looking in the mirror they'd say "That's my host's body"

But when switching, the tulpa is solely identified with the body's senses and all, so the default thought would be "I don't look like that..."
But that you can still intentionally think of it the first way, like "I am switched in and identified with my host's body, so that isn't what I really look like, but it's what the body I have access to looks like, and is the body I live in when not switched in"

I tend to use the "meat mech" metaphor when switched in. I imagine that it's actually my body doing things and that Phil's body is just a kind of skin or mech suit I'm wearing over top of it. That does help with dysphoria when I'm switched in!
