Ice909 February 3, 2022 February 3, 2022 based Hey there, the name's Bryan. In system Re:Body(In order of the rainbow): Sean, Esper, Blinky, Compact, Janey, Kyle, Gwen'd, Gwen, Emily, Rollin, Waynin, Trease, Layy, Justin, Chloe, Zachery, and Elliot. I've been here a while. Much longer than I thought I'd be. Our system was founded October 2nd, 2018. In early 2020, we decided that due to our systems exponential growth, we'd limit who would be active. Now, every month, we do a check to see who wishes to be in dormancy and who wishes to be active. Currently, for the month of April, 2023, we've got myself(Bryan), Janey(Co-host), Emily, Layy, Chloe, and Esper(sub-rep). After over 2 long years, we can finally switch :) Bryan is currently swapped in as host, Esper is sub-rep. Flandre February 3, 2022 February 3, 2022 (edited) I read the synopsis, but I can't figure out what model of time travel they're using, if any. There's the model of seamless time travel where everything already happened and time travelers are doing no more than fulfilling what already happened with seemingly no true free will to change anything, but that doesn't seem possible for this film as I think they changed the past in ways that wouldn't lead to the future they came from (hard to say though since I didn't actually watch the movie). And it's certainly not the new-timeline-for-every-action model because we have time travelers interacting with each other constantly and persistently. Then I suppose there's the layman's "don't mess up time!!!!!" model of doing whatever the heck you want and optionally worrying about creating paradoxes, but at least from the synopsis nobody seemed very worried about catastrophically breaking time itself. I can't judge it too harshly since I didn't watch it myself, but I'm not really sure they have a convincing model of time travel at play here, I think it's just meant to look good to the average person on a single watch Edited February 3, 2022 by Flandre Hi. I'm one of Luminesce's tulpas. Unlike the others, I don't think I stand out too much from him personality wise. I'm just special because "I'm a tulpa". So I don't think I've much to offer, here. I'm happy enough to just be with him. Ask us stuff - https://community.tulpa.info/thread-ask-lumi-s-tulpas

I can't judge it too harshly since I didn't watch it myself, but I'm not really sure they have a convincing model of time travel at play here, I think it's just meant to look good to the average person on a single watch exactly! they have an interesting twist on time travel in that instead of teleporting to another point in time, you reverse the direction in which you travel through time, but then they don't use that in a way that makes any sense whatsoever. like, people are worried about getting shot by time reversed bullets, but really it shouldn't matter because if you were shot by a time reversed bullet that should mean that, for your linear experience of time, you had a bullet wound before you got shot, and then they healed you when they shot you. so since you don't have a bullet wound, you already know that you won't get shot, and even if you were to get shot, it wouldn't actually matter because getting shot would heal you there is no consistency to how time travel works. it just works however the writers wanted it to work in any given moment. I have to wonder if everyone who says it's good is just in an "emperors new clothes" situation where they don't really understand what makes things good, but they know that tenet appears on the surface similar to actually good movies like inception, so they think it would be low class to dislike it I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much.
