Lucilyn October 1, 2022 Share October 1, 2022 if you didn't sleep for 4 extra hours a day you'd have 4 extra hours a day Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! I like rain and dancing and dancing in the rain and if there's frogs there too that's bonus points. Hope meditation fixes it since relatively more advanced meditations makes you get rid of psyhcological tiredness which I think I may suffer from. Creation for creation's sake. Lucilyn October 1, 2022 Share October 1, 2022 like I said, if you even CAN sleep for 12 hours then 9 is probably the healthy amount to aim for, not 8 12 is a problem though, either from brain lacking discipline for sleep hygiene or a health problem like sleep apnea making your sleep less restful than it should be that's why I recommended making yourself get up after 9 hours consistently, 'cus if you still feel super tired in a week or two of doing that then you know it's a health problem and not just a discipline thing Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! TB October 1, 2022 Share October 1, 2022 (edited) I'll try sleeping 9 I guess I don't know if i do or not as I don't know the amount I should eat or drink exactly. Not having good water makes it unlikely unless my tea covers it. I'm overweight so I think I should eat less but I also haven't had much because there just isn't much to eat around here anymore I think I possibly also sleep the way I do because I hate the night time as it makes me depressed. I can feel my mood declining as the sun goes down more. And anytime I wake up before the sun comes up I just don't feel like being up Edited October 1, 2022 by TB Creation for creation's sake. Lucilyn October 1, 2022 Share October 1, 2022 keep a window (shades/blinds) open so you can see sunlight when the sun rises, if applicable or just go outside after getting up, 'cus seeing direct sunlight helps wake your body up, just a reaction of the human body and all Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! TB October 2, 2022 Share October 2, 2022 (edited) I don't have any blinds or anything like that so I see sunlight all the time it is day. I meant it is depressing when it goes down so I can't see it anymore, and I feel spooky and depressed waking up in the early hours before it rises because it is still dark I think drinking tea is helping stave off depression a little though Edited October 2, 2022 by TB Creation for creation's sake. TB October 2, 2022 Share October 2, 2022 (edited) It there a way to force myself to not desire so much sleep I need rehabilitated People at work and at my intensive outpatient program, and also one of my friends, talk frequetnly about getting only 2 hours of sleep or 4 hours of sleep etc. Toriyama also got nearly no sleep making dragonball. Somehow they can exist with such disasterly low amounts of sleep. Why Can't I do the same with normal Edited October 2, 2022 by TB Creation for creation's sake. TB October 2, 2022 Share October 2, 2022 But yeah if it wasn't clear part of my sleeping 12 hours comes from going to bed when it gets dark and waking up when it gets light Creation for creation's sake. TurboSimmie October 2, 2022 Share October 2, 2022 Back in the days before artificial light people used to sleep like that all the time; however, it was common for them to get up for a few hours in the middle of the night. So it was basically four hours of sleep, four hours awake, and four more hours asleep, roughly speaking. In fact the term "beauty sleep" may have its origins as being a term for that second sleep period. Sleeping in one eight-hour block became common after the introduction of artificial light, first gas lamps and then electric lighting.
