Oh right, I never replied to you and Ring about double-posting vs editing.

If posts are moving quickly enough that you're worried about someone missing an edit, then just wait to post again. Otherwise, if it's moving slowly enough, editing your post will get seen when people refresh to view the next new post. Only time this isn't the case is on the 10th post of a page, I pretty much would never blame someone for double-posting instead of editing if they're the very last post on the page (in off-topic threads)

Anyways, in off-topic threads you can double-post if you have something new to say (not a tiny random second sentence, but a whole new subject worthy of its own post) if it's been a while. I guess the amount of time is relative - on most forums it's 24+ hours but that may include on-topic posts, and here we're more lax on it in off-topic threads. I would say in LOTPW specifically you can double post whenever you feel it's worth it, but keep in mind - triple posting is NEVER okay. Nobody wants to see triple posts in any context ever outside of literally your-own-Progress-Report, and even then those should be no more than one every 6+ hours.

But regardless of what you'll get in trouble for, it's still worth keeping in mind that even double-posts tend to annoy people when they're frivolous. I double-post every long once in a while (10+ minutes apart minimum) if I have an entirely new paragraph+ of a post to make on a totally different subject, though that's still only in LOTPW (even in the Chat Thread I'd just edit my last post)

Thank you Lumi for taking the time to write all that, I wish I could give that kind of advice to others struggling lol I also want to be a humanitarian and help people, but sheesh can I really be a humanitarian when my mind and perception towards humanity changes so quickly? like, am I doing it because of genuine compassion or just to feel better about myself? (rambling) I don't want to be that person who ignores all sort of advice given to them so at least I'll try to keep that in mind. And also thanks to everyone else, I really appreciate it

so it's an external issue, an issue with the world, rather than an internal one, with yourself? is it that you don't want to live, or that you don't want to live in this world? what is it that you hate about the world? you mentioned that you feel like you have no control in your life, and that you have problems with social relationships, but are those your main problems, that if they were resolved, you would be fine, or is there more to it than that?

Sometimes I feel like I want to live, just not in this world, a better one. And other times, not even fantasizing about being god and creating my own world makes me feel better so I don't know actually. I hate the way the world is, I feel like humans (and to some extent, animals too) deserve better, while other times I feel like nature doesn't deserve humans! my mind is like that, going from one extreme to the other. There's certainly more going on like fear of death-by-external-factors (not suicide) and my hatred for myself

I like to believe we chose this life and for no other reason but as a challenge to overcome it. Like a psychological game.

I feel like I broke the game with my understanding of duality; thinking I have a higher self and animal self. In that case the higher self has god-potential and infinite by comparison so having headmates might be a connection to other higher selves (soul-mates) or aspects of a higher self more complex then we can imagine literally.

Seeing glimpses of "extra dimensions" in hypnagogic, which are experiences that can't be imagined thus not even properly remembered outside of that realm, means to me that there is some experience outside of this 3D world as we know it.

Furthermore I like to believe we are actually already there and never left. Most of "our" experience here is from the perspective of a hairless ape (or in my case a grizzly bear) and so it's hard to concretely say there is or isn't a higher self because anything we can experience must have material backing given all we are here is material. However, we can seemingly experience beyond the material in ways that can't be explained materially through any valid reasoning yet.

If you follow the logic, if we can experience it as a material being, it must be a material phenomenon; but, if it's an experience that by all senses is outside material understanding then either material understanding isn't complete or something outside material understanding exists and is reachable from the material world. Either way I stand by my assertion that anything is possible.

In any case, what made my life 100x easier is believing that I am beyond the fur and bones you know as Bear, but the Bear is also a valid being, a material one, who will some day cease to exist physically but will continue to live. Otherwise it's like saying Naruto ceases to exist when the episode is over. You can't kill the being that is Bear, because Bear was always just a facet of an aspect of a much greater being.

In that perspective, making a fuss over little things seems somewhat arbitrary. My techniques in controlling emotions ended with a sort of opt-in system. I will experience an emotion for as long as I want and no longer. The emotion is in the nature of the Bear, but it's just a symptom of course. Once the cause is determined and accepted there's no emotional source.

All that to say this world seems arbitrary and unfair and your animal may not be perfect but it's fair to take it as a challenge to overcome (tragic optimism), or to believe nothing matters (nihilism), or any other interpretation since the interpretation is arbitrary.

What I could never resolve was that little push from somewhere deep inside that kept me going even in my darkest times. Maybe it was SheShe, maybe it was my own higher self, maybe it was something like an instinctual genetic self-preservation tick. In any case it's my choice what to believe and so I choose to believe whatever I want.

This continues to all of life. If I can choose to interpret life however I want, then I am dual in nature and hence the little things have no power over me. It's been a stable way of thinking for over three years now and I'd be stupid to go back to the way I thought in 2018. That way of thinking, that all is material and I'm helpless and hopeless against it, is neither constructive, effective at keeping a positive mood, nor even healthy in my opinion.

You could say I found god, but the god was me (my higher self.)

I'll keep this in mind, I know I've been pretty heavy on the double-posting lately
