Yeah I think it is the wacom one then. It was kind of goofy to get used to. Still not sure if I am used to it. I like having 2 monitors essentially though

Same. My first drawing with my Wacom One was Nanachi fanart and it sucked real hard. Sometimes art quality just drops for whatever reason (lack of effort most likely) but other times the culprit is not getting used to a new device

For any digital art projects of any kind I highly recommend saving backups like filename2 during key points before making big changes -

oh, not what you were talking about

Hi guys, plain text is just me now! We've each got our own accounts: me, Tewi, Flandre, and Lucilyn. We're Luminesce's tulpas.

Here's our "Ask Thread", and here's our Progress Report (You should be able to see all of our accounts on the second page if you want)

Not really. I like to update old drawings with my current artstyle but I don't copy others' drawings (I'm assuming you're doing this for studies) because.. I just don't see the point? I might use references but that's it

Drawing something that isn't my own stuff just feels boring unless it's a commission or fanart of a character I really like

Interesting. What do you do to get better? Just make original pieces? How many references do you usually use?

also I'm drowning my sorrows in strawberry milk right now lol i'm going to turn into a strawberry

I draw a lot and I mean a hecking lot so it naturally improves, noticing mistakes in each drawing and then making sure I don't make them again in my next piece (sometimes I still make them by accident lol) My drawings look insanely better when I use references so that also adds to me improving. Even if it's just a source of light for the shading, you can't expect your brain to magically know what something looks like if you've never seen it

I don't know, I've never done studies outside art classes but I still improve. Also, browsing lots of art to get inspiration from, without copying someone else's drawings though
