Oh, I couldn't tell because didn't see wings. Cool

Also spooky and cool to hear Misha's voice

I asked Bre specifically but if you want to anyone else can answer too, how you back up your files if you even do. If you don't you can also say that

And bre where do you back up your files? OneDrive or something? I have a one drive and backed up my trc and rp files but none of my drawings or images because it only gives you like 1 gig or 5 gigs or something for free. Do you pay for a subscription? If you just back it up on another hard drive, how do you do that? Is there an easier way then having to always save things twice?

my way of doing things is maybe not the best or most organized, but it's easy for me and i don't have a whole lot of files that are both important and irreplaceable. i back up a lot of things on my phone and a lot of things on google drive. i can't really recommend google drive, because the only thing that it really has going for it is that it is very easy to use. backing stuff up on one's phone is a good option though, but storage space can be an issue. i would like to get an external hard drive that i can just upload terabytes of whatever the hell to, but i don't have one of those at the moment

I see. I don't know how much space all my files are but I highly doubt my phone can hold it. I also have movies and dragonball gt, super, and the movies on my computer. I have original dragonball and dragonball z on an external harddrive though, because I didn't have space on my main hard drive. Also drawings that are SAI files or CSP files or Krita files on my main hard drive.

Also I don't really know how to manage files on my phone...

Maybe onedrive is better than google drive? You save to the onedrive folder and it saves to both the computer and the cloud. I think it's the same thing with dropbox. I would have to pay for a subscription though

I probably should put my dragonball and movies on an external harddrive and somehow go through my thousands of images and put them on onedrive. I think I would need another external harddrive though as mine is only 2 terrabytes I think.

I don't know if I can pirate GT again because when I did there were barely any seeders and they may be gone now... Also I don't remember where I did it.

I really hope I get lucky. Last time I had a computer scare I thought about backing my files up but I never did it because I didn't really know how I could do it so I procrastinated it and forgot. I wish there was a service like onedrive or dropbox that was completely free and let you save like a terrabyte of data. I am not sure how much you get with onedrive or dropbox even if you do have a subscription. It might be only 100gb or something, which might be enough, I can't really quantify how much that is in my images.

It's good I at least have a laptop now so I could still draw digitally. Idk if i can use my screen tablet or not though. I can also still play slay the spire, but I can't play kasierreich which sucks. I wish I could have afforded a better laptop.

Whether my computer survives or not, I will probably try to live really frugally and save like 200 dollars a month from my paychecks, and see if my dad will assist with more money I could also save, and save up enough to buy a new computer in a few months.

Now that you mention it, I've felt apprehensive about it too. It would be annoying having to save every image and drawing twice, though, but I guess I would have to

you might've turned your computer off sooner last time but I'm pretty sure we had to tell you to turn it off that time too

and no, a repair shop cannot repair damage to computer parts, if it's gonna work when it's dry it's gonna work, otherwise the part in question is probably busted (did you open the case and actually dry it out? water sitting in a metal container isn't exactly gonna evaporate any time soon)

and, the classic way to store important files externally is on a USB, search USB stick on Amazon

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=usb+stick&crid=3PZCTE0HOFYIS&sprefix=usb+stick%2Caps%2C157

get whatever size for what price you want, but if it's just images and stuff, there's a 32gb stick for like $6 which is a pretty good deal when you're poor

I checked the inside and I didn't detect any wet place. If something would have got wet it probably would have been the graphics card. And I mean if I can get my computer back somehow with the harddrive. I know they might need to replace a part, but that's all they would have to do, right? It's not like totaled or anything, is it?

if your hard drive is fine, your files should be fine. even if your hard drive was damaged, it is often possible to recover at least some of your files from it
