Breloomancer April 22 Share April 22 i find watching anime adaptations of mangas that i've read to be enjoyable, so long as it's a good adaptation I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much. Luminesce April 22 Share April 22 (edited) well, the one piece anime starts going slow as heck around 530 or so episodes in and gets excruciating 900+, but as long as you're not watching week-to-week one episode at a time, nothing's stopping you from speeding up or skipping through slow parts (if you've read the manga), or just watching the One Pace project (which you can still watch in 1.25x speed comfortably IMO, since the anime is simply better paced that way, as long as you don't go higher than that voices don't sound weird etc.) Also for One Piece (and probably most animes based on mangas), the anime can make a lot of scenes more impactful or even drawn out (in the good way) than manga The earliest example in One Piece for me was them entering the Grand Line for the first time - hype in the anime, but in the manga it's like two panels and then they move on And unfortunately I've found the same to be true for pretty much all of my favorite fight/conflict scenes that I've checked the manga equivalent for Edited April 22 by Luminesce Hi! Breloomancer April 22 Share April 22 art in manga can be way more detailed, and often far more striking. when something is revealed and its shown through an intricately detailed 2 page spread that you spend minutes entranced by, that can be pretty impactful I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much. Luminesce April 22 Share April 22 You're right, namely because (mostly longer-form) anime can cut corners hard and create some truly sad still frames But I'd take that, and DBZ's looping kickpunchkickpunchkickpunch over manga any day Every day, actually I just really dislike manga as a format for action-based media (it's fine for story-focused stuff I suppose, though I still prefer animated) Hi! Luminesce April 22 Share April 22 I do like books, but I feel like if I actually had manga physically then I wouldn't prefer a book to a manga of the same content Hi! Breloomancer April 22 Share April 22 visualizing things that have been written can allow things to flow in a way that manga cannot, and be detailed in a way that anime struggles with. prose also gives you a certain insight into the thoughts and perspectives of characters that other forms of storytelling does not. physical or digital, i'm a lot more likely to tear through a book than a manga I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much. Luminesce April 22 Share April 22 anime/show > book > manga/comic, for me Just too lazy to sit and read books, unless I'm away from home Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. TB April 22 Share April 22 (edited) I haven't read much of db manga but have a lot of fan manga, and the fight scenes can be surprisingly good even in manga. A lot of just really good drawings. Well I read super manga as well I guess, that's not fan manga, but it is drawn by someone famous for their fan manga. Also there is more to it than just the fights but yeah I will see how entertaining dbz (from actual db, not doujinshis) fights are in manga form sometime soon maybe. I'll have to research if I draw the comic of byakko's fight with (me) because I sucked at a lot of it Attempting to sleep earlier... I meditated and got really sleepy and in a part sleep state, but now I lay down and mind is just so energized. Idk why it is working like this. I could almost fall asleep sitting then can't laying down I miss toy lightsabers, especially the cool ones but even the basic ones are neat Edited April 22 by TB Creation for creation's sake. More of my drawings Resident Dojikko
Luminesce April 22 Share April 22 (edited) I do sometimes get tired doing boring stuff/nothing on PC, and then decide to go to bed early, but just those 5 minutes between those points manage to wake me up somehow Not now though, it's 11:50 and I'm just normal-going to sleep Edited April 22 by Luminesce Hi!
