ringgggg August 7 Share August 7 Even now I don't feel like the title of section leader fits me all too well. Transitioning dot sheets from paper to visual has personally been rough to acclimate to. We get called out a lot as a section, but the others are competent even on their own save for two or three newbie chatterboxes. I can't really complain. They're smart cookies and I can have fun with them 8 minutes ago, Breloomancer said: the only downside was that, early in the year, before we got good at putting away our equipment quickly, we would always end up late to our next class, and the band director would look at us with disappointment as he wrote us late passes I used to be bent on cleaning my instrument every day. Had this exact thing happen to me countless times. D-prime is shrinking as we speak. Breloomancer August 7 Share August 7 pit was always a pretty mixed bag. you would have some people who basically knew what they were doing, some people who had no idea what they were doing, but we're willing to learn, and some people who had never held a mallet before, but we're willing to learn, and some people whose reasons for joining marching band started and ended with wanting to get out of PE. not everyone understood that you can only get away with goofing off if you've already learned your part I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much. TB August 7 Share August 7 (edited) Should I be concerned about octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane? lol this insulated cup says it has that and formaldehyde in it. I googled if it is okay for formaldehyde to be in a cup, but get no information. seems it is often in furniture, and people say it isn't really bad even if it has the prop 65 warning, but idk if it is bad if it is in something i plan to drink from google makes it sound like the octa stuff will kill you and your family and all life on earth but idk if that goes for the context of however it is related to this drinking device lol I realize this is written below a "limited lifetime guarantee" like oh, so you're saying this thing guarantees my lifetime will be limited? nice Edited August 7 by TB Creation for creation's sake. ringgggg August 7 Share August 7 I'm honestly impressed at how well the freshmen from last year adapted. I don't know if it was high school or just accumulating experience in marching band, but it's not hard to tell that some of them have started to take the culture seriously. I can't say the same for playing on the field, which is again due in part to the seniors leaving. I'm positive that they'll all be great next year though. Having less seniors means there will inevitably be more underclassmen in mastery level concert band Literally all it took was people willing to learn 52 minutes ago, Breloomancer said: not everyone understood that you can only get away with goofing off if you've already learned your part They learn, they all inadvertently learn at some point in the season. The environment just brings you to Do you still go to games? You're 20, I bet people still know you there. D-prime is shrinking as we speak. Breloomancer August 7 Share August 7 i skipped my senior year, so this is the last year where students who were attending concurrently to me will be there. i never attended a football game after i left. i liked performing in marching band, and i liked not having to attend PE, but i don't care about sports, and i am anti-school spirit I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much. ringgggg August 7 Share August 7 It's funny imagining you telling pit how you traveled hours back to virginia just to see them again 2 minutes ago, Breloomancer said: i am anti-school spirit Why does your spirit remain unschooled? 4 minutes ago, Breloomancer said: i liked performing in marching band, and i liked not having to attend PE I wish marching band was PE credit at every school, but maybe it's better if it's not D-prime is shrinking as we speak. Breloomancer August 7 Share August 7 i didn't go to highschool in virginia i didn't like highschool, or middle school, or elementary school, or preschool, and i have negative interest in becoming tribalistic towards ideals that i don't care for in the first place my proudest accomplishment of highschool is avoiding ever having to attend PE. undressing in public locker rooms is an indignity that no adolescent should be forced to endure I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much. TB August 7 Share August 7 (edited) I liked playing ping pong in P.E. in highschool P.E. was only needed Freshman year I think. After that we didn't have P.E. anymore. I think highschool was the only P.E. class that required changing. We didn't do that in elementary or middle school You didn't have to change underwear so it wasn't so bad. Idk if it is like that everywhere. If they made you get totally naked, i would probably refuse. Otherwise, I am not more exposed than I'd be at a swimming pool Edited August 7 by TB Creation for creation's sake.
