I don't really have time to get into all the changes right now though. The Sims 1 was good for its time but quite limited by today's standards. Sims 2 & 3 are still really good and worth playing even if they are dated in many ways. (They are 20 and 15 years old respectively, after all) Anyway, heading out for now, see everyone later! 😁👋 Tulpa Wife & Mother! 💚 💍 11.28.21 👶 4.7.23 👗 Simmie's AI Dress-Up! 📷 Phil and Simmie's Photographic Adventures! Breloomancer September 19 Share September 19 (edited) 45 minutes ago, Ashii said: besides looks and mechanics, what actually changes between the sims games the main factors are graphics, mechanics, "content" (for lack of a better term), business model, optimization, and modability the graphics are the one thing that has straightforwardly improved with each entry to the series my brother most prefers the mechanics of sims 2, but also appreciates what sims 3 has to offer. he says that the mechanics of sims 4 are far shallower than previous games, and that that things are balanced in such a way that makes it difficult for your sims to end up in situations where bad things happen to them, which makes it more difficult to create interesting stories content makes up the actual things in the game, the clothes, furniture, jobs, pre-set towns, etc. my brother says that he prefers the content in sims 2, especially the pre-set towns, and that sims 4 content is lacking in all regards, and especially with the pre-set towns each sims game has many expansions which add mechanics and content to the games. with the sims 2, all of the expansions represented major additions to the game. the sims 4 has a ridiculous number of expansions, all of which are generally quite expensive, and all of which add less content and much more half baked content than with the sims 2 and 3 the sims 3 has the worst optimization of all the sims, because the mechanics of the game requires more things to be loaded at once, and all of the games can be prone to certain graphical errors. the sims 4 is the only one that is actively being supported to reduce the frequency of glitches, and so in some regards it is better than previous games, however, the half baked nature of a lot of the expansions can frequently lead to glitches, some of which can really mess up your game. usually EA fixes these glitches eventually, but they really shouldn't be happening in the first place, if the expansions were given proper playtesting and time in development i don't know how easy the different games are to mod relative to one another. my brother says that sims 2 has mods and custom content available of the entries to the series, but part of that is probably that it is the oldest one that people still care about i don't play the sims, so everything that i know about it comes from watching my brother play or listening to him talk about it Edited September 19 by Breloomancer I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much. Ice909 September 19 Share September 19 gm Hey there, the name's Bryan. In system Re:Body(In order of the rainbow): Sean, Esper, Blinky, Compact, Janey, Kyle, Gwen'd, Gwen, Emily, Rollin, Waynin, Trease, Layy, Justin, Chloe, Zachery, and Elliot. I've been here a while. Much longer than I thought I'd be. Our system was founded October 2nd, 2018. In early 2020, we decided that due to our systems exponential growth, we'd limit who would be active. Now, every month, we do a check to see who wishes to be in dormancy and who wishes to be active. Currently, for the month of April, 2023, we've got myself(Bryan), Janey(Co-host), Emily, Layy, Chloe, and Esper(sub-rep). After over 2 long years, we can finally switch :) Bryan is currently swapped in as host, Esper is sub-rep. TB September 19 Share September 19 (edited) GN Oh, so making Vegeta do push ups or Goku eat bowls of food or Gohan pulling out z swords or growing saibamen etc are patented Really strange thing to patent. I can maybe semi understand patenting a specific game like growing saibamen but why would you patent the whole concept of doing something while it is loading Edited September 19 by TB Creation for creation's sake.
