TB October 4 Share October 4 (edited) I break something more than you but the times I do stuff and things don't break so vastly outnumber when they do that I don't understand what went wrong and it just seems like bad luck cuz it isn't like what I was doing before wasn't working the vast majority of the time. Usually I think there is some sort of unseen changed factor that makes something unpredictable happen, or maybe similar to you where I fail to do something protective that I usually do due to lapse of judgement/mindfulness or just not caring/being hurried. I haven't broken a dish in a while so I can't try to analyze the last time it happened to come up with specifics since it is too long to remember the details, but I think something along those lines probably It's unfair cuz I will deliberately be like "oh, I shouldn't use a knife in this way cuz it is basically speedrunning accidental seppuku" and then bam one day you accidentally commit seppuku and you don't know what happened or how you got here lol. I feel like someone is rolling a d20 before actions I do and if it gets a 1 they will rule that I screw up, except it is probably less than 5% chance, at least for the worse things But yeah I wash cups in the sink a lot, like every day multiple times perhaps, but randomly will have one fall out of my hands cuz it is more slippery than usual or something for no reason or idk what. bilirubin saturated animal waste happens Also I've determined you can't really get all the water out of a cup by shaking it. I usually pour a very small amount of filtered water into the cup then pour the filtered water out, rinsing it with filtered water basically. That, or just have it sit normally for a little while, then turn it upside down when all the water is together so it pours out easier Edited October 4 by TB Creation for creation's sake. TB October 4 Share October 4 Yeah Also idk if a couple milileters of water in bottom of an empty cup of tap water actually creates significant harm when mixed with filtered water compared to getting it all out, unless you have extremely bad tap water Creation for creation's sake. Luminesce October 4 Share October 4 (edited) That's pretty much what I meant by no practical difference, though I wouldn't drink a small amount of anything I've chosen not to drink in the first place, so I'm certainly not not-emptying tap water (and the wrist-flicking does remove more than just-upturning, so I don't really intend to stop doing that, but I'll be more careful about it - and probably try to minimize the OCD too) Edited October 4 by Luminesce Hi! TB October 4 Share October 4 (edited) Something that helped OCD for me that I heard from someone else is when you have OCD trigger, to not act on it immediately and wait like 3 minutes or 5 minutes or an hour or something depending on what it is. Idk, deciding you're going to do it but just later helps for some reason sometimes, and sometimes you don't feel need to when later comes, when saying no from the beginning will make you indefinitely miserable and acting on it just reinforces it and goes nowhere ugh the poisonous chemicals I sprayed to clean bathtub aren't going away even with window open and me rinsing it and wiping it away. idk if i got it in places i didn't know and it is there indefinitely. will it run its course in time or just stink the place for the rest of time? its spread the the kitchen. cleaning is unbearable and undoable cuz cleaning products are made of anthrax and ricin and plutonium 666 Edited October 4 by TB Creation for creation's sake. I cleaned some "pink mold" (actually a type of bacteria) out of my shower recently with just some lysol all-purpose cleaner or something not that I don't believe you had some eldritch mold that needed to be fought with weapons-grade chemicals, but still, how am I supposed to give you advice on the weirdest things like this I just sprayed and wiped with a paper towel a couple minutes later, could do it twice if I was so inclined.. TB October 4 Share October 4 (edited) I wouldn't say Eldritch mold but I used rmr-86, which idk if there was a better choice to clean it with as idk what you are supposed to use for things and I am not even sure if it was mold or just dirt it was sprayed on, but whatever it was it does melt it, at the cost of transfiguring my DNA I haven't heard of pink mold Shower only ever got Eldritch mold at old house I lived in cuz in the matter of weeks the shower would build up 5 to 10 times more mold than whatever mold/dirt was collecting in my current bathtub/bottom of curtains for like over a year, which is crazy. I used to think it was normal for showers to just turn into yog sogoth's bachelor pad but apparently not. I think old house just had a legitimate black mold infestation and needed to be condemned, and a normal place gains neglible dirt over long periods of time I also think it is more likely to be dirt than mold cuz if it was mold idk why it wouldn't proliferate and still just increases very slightly over long periods of time. I think just recently there might be some real mold on the shower curtains, which is why I decided to change them out Also Idk how many other phones have this ability but I couldn't remember what kind of nuts I was eating as I haven't had them in a while and they were so good, so I took a picture of them, and my phone, looking at a bootleg unique photo of a zip baggy of nuts I just took this moment, can tell me what it is I'm looking at without misunderstanding what it is So useful So far it identified nuts I didn't know, a odd frog I didn't know, and a turtle I didn't know Reaching the singularity Edited October 4 by TB Creation for creation's sake.
