TB October 8 Share October 8 Our infrastructure gets a grade of D. A lot of other countries at least go for a B I think And I see. I just felt like I've heard cat 5 hurricane more often than I've heard of like, unparalleled devastation. Well, I hope it ends up okay but I guess it sounds like thousands will die Creation for creation's sake. TurboSimmie October 8 Share October 8 I just hope that people were able to evacuate out of the storm's path, or at least move further inland! Sadly, a death toll in the hundreds is still likely. TB October 8 Share October 8 Yeah I guess thousands don't die in hurricanes. It seems last major category 5 hurricane in Florida in the 90s killed 40 people. That's terrible but orders of magnitude less bad than I was thinking. Sometimes hurricanes kill in the low hundreds though too from reading I guess what is more likely is having life ruined by losing your house and job or something Creation for creation's sake. TurboSimmie October 8 Share October 8 The deadliest hurricane in American history was the Great Galveston Hurricane in 1900, it killed at least 8,000 people. In terms of recent American history, if you include Puerto Rico (technically part of American territory), Hurricane Maria killed over 2,500 people in 2017. Gosh this is a grim subject. 😄 Tulpa Wife & Mother! 💚 💍 11.28.21 👶 4.7.23 👗 Simmie's AI Dress-Up! 📷 Phil and Simmie's Photographic Adventures! We really need to put the pictures on our photography DA account, we have literally thousands sitting on our hard drive. Noted. TB October 8 Share October 8 Yeah And oh, I see. So it can get to thousands Well at least it isn't deathcount of actual atomic bombs I guess. Silver lining Also apparently the asteroid that made dinosaurs go extinct was 72 teraton explosion according to wikipedia if I remember correctly. jesus lol. Every nuke in the world going off at the same time isn't even .01% that And asteroids that hit the earth in archean period I think were in peta ton range, so like a thousand times bigger than that. Literally continent nuking Hope we don't get RKO'd out of nowhere by an archean period asteroid. I don't think earth would be round anymore lol, temporarily Creation for creation's sake. TurboSimmie October 8 Share October 8 Yeah it's really sad to think about. You and your family might evacuate and be safe, but find you have no home to come back to. Apparently after Hurricane Andrew in 1992 they passed stricter building regulations in Florida to make houses more hurricane-resistant, but of course that doesn't make them invincible, and a lot of poorer people still live in houses that are older and haven't been updated to the newer standards. 2 minutes ago, TB said: Hope we don't get RKO'd out of nowhere by an archean period asteroid. Luminesce October 8 Share October 8 (edited) Double thankfully, science and technology have advanced enough that we shouldn't be caught off guard by any world-ending celestial events without decent notice Though.. Even if we had an entire year to prepare for a celestial doomsday event, I imagine the utter panic would shut most the world down and hurt our ability to prepare immensely, hmm Well, at least it'd be a disaster we could watch ourselves fail to prepare for, rather than a surprise teraton-nuke Edited October 8 by Luminesce Hi! TB October 8 Share October 8 (edited) Imagine if Goku and frieza were real and frieza shows up to get revenge and there is no trunks and Goku fails to beat him a second time so we get ronnaton nuked with no notice Pathetic and weak Yellowstone volcano is measly many gigaton nuke range. Nothing to worry about Apparently in the 1200s, a volcano exploded so massively it cooled the earth 2 whole degrees Maybe we should set Yellowstone off to reverse global warming Edited October 8 by TB Creation for creation's sake.
