it's a nuanced situation I guess. a tremendous portion of your happiness depends on how you view things and react to things, which you can try to adjust to varying degrees depending on the person. but it is unlikely most people can gain the freedom a billion dollars would give on their own or by earning a billion dollars, so that kind of power only exists with certain people

 

and i think some levels of suffering in the world require intervention of others for their to be any hope

 

 

this was recommended to me. it is interesting to see the 3 abrahamic religions just living together in peace

also US immigration process sucks. my friend is married to a foreigner and wants them to come to america to live with him, and they have been trying to legally for years. it should be simple. typically being married to a citizen of your target country makes it easy for you to live there indefinitely legally, but due to extremely homophobic embassy they were denied ability to immigrate to US with no reason given and no appeals. they paid hundreds of dollars and did all kinds of paper work and spent arduous amounts of time for absolutely nothing. Like if it is that hard, I understand why there would be illegal immigrants. they did nothing wrong and did everything right, and they get f'd for it

 

imagine being stuck in a long distance marriage because the world is arbitrarily divided into borders people aren't allowed to cross because of where they happened to be born at

The tl;dr of it is back in the 80s a German guy recorded some songs off the radio on cassette (as you did back in the day), and in the 00s someone uploaded one song from the recording to the internet to get help identifying it. For YEARS nobody could figure out who made the song. It was a huge mystery that spread like a meme across the internet. It was considered the king of Lostwave. It had a weird, haunting, other-worldly quality, almost like it fell out of another dimension or something, and for years this was the best version anyone had access to:

But just a few days ago it was finally identified! It was created by a German band called FEX, and the EP it was on was rediscovered along with two other songs they did:

It was just one of those neat internet mysteries that resisted being solved for so long and I think it's amazing they finally did it. And these songs rock too. 😊🎸🎶
