who ever came up with that idea must have made whoever came up with the idea of a low flow toilet feel stupid

good thing lucilyn's house was built within the last 3 years

there's actually a king of the hill episode about low flow toilets lol, and it also is an episode about local government elections. whoever hanks uh, idk if mayor or whatever, had it so everyone had to have low flow toilets but they are awful and made him and his family's lives miserable and embarrassing, and he tries to get involved with communicating to officials for not having that be a rule for water usage reduction and stuff, but he finds out they are paid by big low flow toilets so their decision was corrupted anyway and they don't even have them in their own house, and he wasn't going to get them to change, until he fillibusters until everyone in the government building has to use the bathroom which is a low flow toilet and they see the devastation so decide to repeal that rule

i didn't explain it well, i don't have political science degree and it's been a while since I saw the episode but you get the idea lol

hank is so innocent lol. he's a republican but has well meaning intentions and mistakenly thought the US institutions were ironclad and that politicians generally have your best interest at heart, so in that episode he gets disillusioned after figuring out someone would take money to make a decision that knowingly negatively affects others

toilets with multiple flush settings are not new. my great grandmother had one in her apartment

also, i'm pretty certain that even wet wipes that are supposedly meant for flushing still don't dissolve in water very well and can contribute to clogging

Have you ever used a really, really old (or old-styled) toilet where you have to pull a chain?

her apartment when she was your great grandmother or when she was still young?

maybe. if toilet paper alone can, probably since due to them being wet but able to be used they must be more resistant to breaking down as trying to have a package of damp toilet paper would not work probably because it'd fall apart. but toilet paper you have to use way way more of for less cleanness. it seems unbearably gross to not use a wet wipe and idk how that was normal before

I actually saw a toilet with a chain, and the funny thing was it was in a building that was definitely less than 10 years old. They deliberately chose to use a late 19th century Italian toilet design, they had a plaque up for it and everything. This was at a quite upscale Italian market in a wealthy Philly suburb.

Goodness, this is the most I've talked about toilets in my whole life. 😄 Anyway, time to head out now, see everyone later! 😁👋

yeah. simmie's brought up 19th century italian toilet designs, lucilyn has brought up modern toilets that have 2 flush options, and ringgggg has brought up toilets with hawk tuah girl bidets. the entire spectrum of toilet debate in one room I think

she had the toilet for as long as i can remember, so lets say at least two decades. she had the apartment for significantly longer than that, but i don't know if she had the same toilet for the whole time or not

I see

speaking of king of the hill, apparently it is getting a reboot, I didn't even know that. I heard about the possibility of mike judge considering it in the past but now I heard it mentioned in a discord group and i googled and it apparently has 1 season completeled and they are working on second season, and it is to be released on hulu in maybe 2025? and bobby will be 21. hope it doesn't suck

also lol imagine if anime's created multiple seasons before releasing anything. I guess. Idk how long a season for koth reboot is and idk how many episodes an anime makes before starting to release, but it seemed super did not make very many episodes before starting to release, so had to make new episodes incredibly fast, which is why you get infamous stuff like

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I think my dragonball super episodes are on my old computer and I never put them on an external harddrive. I forgot. i was going to show screenshots of episode 5 lol. you can find screenshots on the internet though, but you apparently can't stream the actual episode anywhere as it doesn't exist online, unless maybe you pirate it, but unclear how many people are seeding release version of episode 5 of super, especially like mine is, with all the standard japanese TV pop ups and time and stuff in tact like the day it aired
