I'm very new to all this and pretty intrigued by it all. I recently did experiment with a bit of forming of my tulpa. I got some inspiration from a blog I read and started off with a wonderland that I had imagined for a long time. Its a treehouse on a plane of green grass that ends at a drop on all sides. Theres also a nice orange sunset. I didn't really go into the details of the wonderland. I started making my tulpa by forming a kind of energy wispy smokey orb. I put my right hand onto it and started "channeling" positive personality traits into it by narrating the traits and defining them in my head then pushing the "thought" into the orb. I didn't get a response or a result from this but I continued with a few other traits. I then held the orb with both hands and tried to give it a more solid shape and tried to actually feel it with both my hands. Strangely, my right hand felt cold and my left hand felt like it was emanating heat. I was in a cold room FYI. I just held it like that for another 2 or 3 minutes concentrating on it. I then expanded it by pulling apart the sides. Soon after, I released the orb and looked at it a while with my mind's eye before I backed out of the wonderland and shut a wooden door. I'm worried as to whetherI did everything correct and if my tulpa will turn out to be a little creepy looking. I read a lot of creepypastas and play horror games so I'm not sure if this will leak into my tulpa. I don't want my tulpa to turn out as a scary looking thing.

Hey, I'm into horror too I've done all that! Its,unlikely that it will turn into something that scares you, and if It does you can kindly ask it to change its form.

If you haven't read any guides from here yet I would recommend that you do.

You might have to go through a few guides to see what fits your style but personally, these ones were the best starters for me:

ThunderClap's Guide on Tulpa Creation

Kiahdaj’s Absolute Guide to Tulpas

I don't want my tulpa to turn out as a scary looking thing.

If you don't will it, It likely won't be.

And with that, welcome to Tulpa.info!

Alright thanks. I still have some questions though:

Is it normal to not be able to really "see" my tulpa? I mean, at this point I really don't know if any reactions or anything I imagined at all is for real or if they're all just imagination. I also find it pretty difficult to give my tulpa details. Its like a wisp or smoke. I can't hold it or grasp it or see it clearly. Its all just so vague.

Welcome to the site from a fellow treehouse dweller!

As Light_Spirit said, it's a good idea to browse a couple of guides for assistance. You don't need to follow them to the letter, but they can give you some ideas to try out. Your current efforts sound pretty good to me though, especially if you're feeling any kind of response.

As for your last query, I wouldn't worry too much yet. Your mind needs to adapt to "using your senses" within your mind, you'll get better at it with practice. I've had Thunderfall for almost a year now, and I still have problems seeing him vividly if I'm not giving him my full concentration.

Out of interest, do you have a name or form in mind, or are you going to let the tulpa decide?

Thunderfall (goes by Thunder)

Male human

Melody

Female lamia

Thanks for the advice. In reply to your last question, no, I do not currently have a specific name or form in mind. As this is my first tulpa creation, I would allow freedom of choice to my tulpa instead of restricting it to my own will. Its also still pretty difficult for me to change its form as of now. However, I am completely open to suggestions should you feel that I should name it or give it a specific form. I was kinda hoping this tulpa would be something of a guardian figure, like a wise old sage that can guide me through my life and help me make choices.
