I tried this, and with a little promting, Kelsey got up and immediately left my room for a drink of water, and then she went to the restroom, and then back to the kitchen for some more water, and then she came back to my bed. Kelsey said that the hardest part of it was pooping. She is only 2 days old.

No, you don't need parallel processing for possession. You just need an active tulpa, preferably one you can communicate with.
