Brassow March 2, 2016 Share March 2, 2016 I'm happy I didn't intimidate you too much with that big old wall. Oh, you would be wrong. Steek asked me to help proofread his response to you and felt like the criticism was a punch to the gut. I managed to explain that it's all for the sake of improvement. Sock March 2, 2016 Share March 2, 2016 Oh, you would be wrong. Steek asked me to help proofread his response to you and felt like the criticism was a punch to the gut. I managed to explain that it's all for the sake of improvement. Understood. I had to mull over that one for a moment, and try to change my perspective a bit. I understand that getting your work picked apart can sting, even with the best of intentions by the person doing it. I'll ease up. Peace. Sock Cottonwell's Sketchbook, Journal, and Ask thread. STeeK March 3, 2016 Author Share March 3, 2016 @Brassow & Sock I'm a tough guy, don't worry My first experiment in the pixel art We are quite satisfied with the result Could be awesome if I had more than 8gb of Ram. Illustrator ran out of ram in the renderization of an awesome cube/volume/shiny effect thing. Maybe next time could be a more small image with less "pixels" The base sketch wasn't the best one too I really should buy this program -> Roseluck's Art Gallery and Requests <-
Brassow March 4, 2016 Share March 4, 2016 So Steek and I are doing a bit of an art exchange thing where we post on each other's threads. (His idea, don't ask.) The comic is based on the large amount of requests Steek gets (from myself included) "Ugh maybe later" -Steek, 2016 "Try to get a better understanding of things before making your judgement." -Khan, Metro 2033
STeeK March 18, 2016 Author Share March 18, 2016 After a couple of months of my last try with doing doodles in Sai we tried again This time we didn't failed In chronological order of creation And with another version Out of character edgy Roseluck with the inspiration of the most recent @Brassow comic -> Roseluck's Art Gallery and Requests <-
Drakaina March 18, 2016 Share March 18, 2016 Those look really good. I like the sketchy look too. Did you use the default pencil tool? STeeK March 18, 2016 Author Share March 18, 2016 @Drakaina I do use the pencil tool but it's slightly tweaked Thanks for the comment! -> Roseluck's Art Gallery and Requests <-
Drakaina March 18, 2016 Share March 18, 2016 Ah, thanks for sharing your settings. I like how your pencil still looks rough like a sketch, but there isn't too much paper texture in the strokes. :3 "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." -Arthur Conan Doyle
Brassow March 18, 2016 Share March 18, 2016 I hope to get that comic done by next weekend, but I tend to be pretty busy... heheh... You need the special eyes in your drawings. They feel strange without them. "Try to get a better understanding of things before making your judgement." -Khan, Metro 2033
STeeK March 19, 2016 Author Share March 19, 2016 First background that I'm proud of My skiiiiills are growing duuude The thumbnail doesn't show as much as I would like @Drakaina i'm not so sure about lowering the quality with the paper texture in an already low quality sketch But thats requieres more deep investigation @Brassow Too difficult draw those eyes in sai, so I went for generic ones. -> Roseluck's Art Gallery and Requests <-
