Dog May 24, 2015 Share May 24, 2015 EDIT: I have decided to host a tekkit server. The new thread is at https://community.tulpa.info/thread-update-tulpa-minecraft-tekkit-server There was a tulpa minecraft server a while ago, but it shut down. If anyone wants to play minecraft together, I can host a server. If you put modpack on the poll, reply with what modpack you want me to host. Yuki May 24, 2015 Share May 24, 2015 I'd be interested in playing on a Tekkit server, and if we're willing to go really fancy, there's Feed the Beast Infinity, which has just too much stuff. http://www.feed-the-beast.com/mod-packs Feel free to ask me anything. Brassow May 24, 2015 Share May 24, 2015 Nah, do like votz or tekkit. Don't go overkill with mods, but have SOME good ones. Perhaps have the twilight forest, flan's mod, custom npcs and some stuff to automate doing things. EDIT: Waitasecond! IT'S DOG! I've only read your ancient posts (from the years of 2012 and 2013) but never spoken to you. Dog May 24, 2015 Author Share May 24, 2015 are you guys talking about texxit, tekkit classic, or texxit lite?
Luminesce May 24, 2015 Share May 24, 2015 I like industrialcraft and the other basics that are in most modpacks, but I really hate when things get overdone. The Twilight Forest is solid, but it becomes quickly irrelevant, as do most mods really. I don't need 100 different (not different) mobs and 1000 special ores that all have some tiny niche in a mod I don't care about and will never touch. But usually it's not too hard to ignore a few things. Like those crystal ore things used for fertilizer and whatnot. Just don't put so much stuff that you start losing immersion, and I'll play. Hi! Brassow May 24, 2015 Share May 24, 2015 I mean just regular tekkit. It'd be great to set up a multiplayer server and see what this community can create. Luminesce May 24, 2015 Share May 24, 2015 Incidentally, my Minecraft username is ReisenInaba, and people have suggested my tulpas play Minecraft as a creative outlet recently. I don't really know what Tekkit is anymore (played it like three years ago?), but I don't mind if a few mods are added to a default pack. That can't be that bad. Just nothing gamebreaking changing like extra hunger/regen mechanics or other silly game-changing mods, alright? Like, Vis in the environment is fine because I can ignore it, but I don't want to be made to play the game differently than I normally would. Pick-and-choose is best for modpacks, especially when everyone gets to do their own thing. Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. Dog May 24, 2015 Author Share May 24, 2015 hmm well making your own modpack and maintaining it is pretty hard actually, so I would probably use a pre-made modpack like tekkit. I downloaded tekkit and played a bit in it and it doesn't seem that there are any mods that change default game mechanics except a mod that makes cutting down trees faster. EDIT: also, the new version of tekkit has thermalexpansion and buildcraft instead of industrialcraft
Luminesce May 24, 2015 Share May 24, 2015 The treefeller mods are fine, that's not really what I meant. And uh.. I have a bit of experience with those, but they're not as fun imo. Hook your machines up to infinite lava in the nether, done. But I'd still play that. Is there Ironchests or Equivalent Exchange? Those make modpacks much more playable. Hi!
