  1. I feel like this definitely varies between people, and as for myself I'll most likely just stick with the one. And as far as the people "trying to get the most tulpas", that's bullshit. That's like me saying that I'm gonna go and paint the most paintings, only to go and splatter one or two bits of paint on every canvas and call each a painting. They're worthless and calling these things paintings or tulpas is ridiculous. Even the concept of "trying to make as many tulpas as possible" is flat out stupid. If you have a lot of unique and well-fleshed out tulpa that all help you with specific things or have some unique impact on you, then that's great, really good job. But turning it into a simple numbers game is pointless.
  2. Was this a recent development or have you had this disability for most of your life? If this is a long-term thing, then I think the reason that your tulpa shares your impairment is the same reason that my tulpa cannot speak Russian; the brain cannot emulate something it does not know. However, this is a little different. I think it might be possible if you and your tulpa practiced a lot, but I don't see much benefit. If this was a recent development, then what you believe would be much more relevant.
  3. This. Tell him to astral-project to Equestrania to retrieve the staff of harmony, which will increase his SPIRIT and WILLPOWER by 40%. Be wary, however, for this will also debuff his STR by 10%. This shouldn't be much of a problem given the massive bonuses, IMHO. This is only if he's playing version 3.5 however, because the staff mechanics were seriously changed in version 4. The SPIRIT and WILLPOWER bonuses are only +10% each, but if you roll a 10+ on a D20 then your roll*3 is added to the percent bonuses. The problem is that any roll under 10 will reduce the percentages by roll*2, which can very easily go into the negative. The STR debuff is also at a base 15% with no modification. Make sure you tell him all of this. He needs to very carefully consider if he wishes to try to use the v3.5 or v4 staff to banish his dastardly rogue tulpas to the DARKNESS from whence they came. EDIT: You know what? Tell him to go see a therapist or some other psychologist. The "hurt the host via forcible possession" part sounds pretty god damn serious. I think asking a bunch of assholes on some internet forum for role-playing advice when his life could be in danger is a fucking awful idea. Tell him to seek professional help and quit fucking around on here. If he's at all serious then please, PLEASE have him get professional help instead of having us "help" him by proxy. "Have the tulpa merge with his inner calming peace" or "Tell him to just make up with his tulpa"? No. Fuck that. Tell him to get some actual help, man. And, as always, if you guys are just roleplaying, then please see the portion of my post above the line. I have some pretty good roleplaying advice in there for you in that case.
  4. tulpa.info in a year in a nutshell >exist in physical dream-imposed meta-reality #65i >be meta-consciousness that has been imposed onto this inferior reality by a great and powerful 12-year old dark lord of DARKNESS >see freudian scientist at the zoo >ask "group-meditated-tulpa mommy and imposed-but-not-vocal-because-he's-shy-:(-daddy, what's that?" >they don't know >cute and loving waifu tulpa (that I just made lel, shit was cash) opens a rainbow tear in reality for me and physically pulls me into a safety wonderland created by my inner beauty and specialness >tells me that it's a monster from the before time >tells me not to be scared, because the monster's logicocracy was smashed by the meta-dreamworld police magic happy forces in the Science wars >start to cry >mai waifu creates 10 new tulpas from the hopes and dreams of the children of the universe to cheer me up >feel the magic love of the meta-verse wash over me >waifu tells me that the monsters aren't allowed to use science and logic anymore, only to work to support our glorious hyper-temporal collective imagination consciousnesses >tulpaforce a meta-tomato and hurl it through time at him with the force of my imagination and did I mention I'm special >my thoughts come to life and he is immediately obliterated by the magical tomato that created 5 of its own tulpatoes because it was lonely >everyone laughs and shits out more tulpas >go home and tulpamance 10 new tulpas who all tulpamance their own tulpas and then together with our love we tulpamance a new glorious tulpa super waifu who loves me and then made tulpa babies with me without tulpaforcing if you catch my drift ;) ;) ;) Oh, and also this.
  5. Unless you are constantly comparing your visualization of a tulpa to a very high-poly 3D model, then with enough practice you would be able to get as much detail as you want. From what I understand, when the brain lacks specific information about sensory input, but has vague information regarding what you expect the sensory input to be, then it will automatically fill in the blanks with information that makes sense to itself. It's why you can hear voices in white noise or see faces in tv static. The brain is constantly looking for patterns and will often mistake nonsense for sense. A short experiment, skip this paragraph if you'd like: Try visualizing a piece of fabric a few feet in front of you, and then imagine yourself zooming in on it for as far as you can. When I do this I can, in my mind's eye, see the fabric, and then the individual weaves making up the fabric, and then the stranded threads within that fabric, and then it skips to stranded carbon nanotubes, which is what my brain immediately assumed to be at the highest zoom level. Examination of such a thought experiment is very interesting, at least for me. My brain was unclear on what was between the thread level and the carbon fiber level, so I couldn't see it. It was also unclear of how exactly the transition from carbon nanotubes to the atomic level would appear, so the visualization stopped at nanotubes. The most interesting things about this particular visualization are, however, that I automatically assumed that the fabric was made of stranded threads, and that, of course, fabric is not made of carbon nanotubes. Same deal with visualization of tulpas. It is very easy to see as much detail as you want, because your brain will automatically fill in whatever gaps exist as long as they are not too substantial. Perfect visualization of an object which perfectly matches its partner in reality, however, would take quite a while. As far as I'm concerned though, "imperfect" visualization (very fast, innacurate, plausibly realistic) of any object is far superior to "perfect" visualization (very slow, very accurate, perfectly realistic) because the "realism" of the visualization isn't even necessary. What an odd concept. As you thought, I'm pretty sure the limitations are just in your head. Maybe if you practice some it might help to get rid of them?
  6. Agreed with everyone here. About how old are you? At best, they'll think it's amusing, and at worst you'll end up in a psych ward. If this is how you feel they'll react, then don't tell them. Simple as that.
  7. So Forge has abused mod powers and is still a mod? Neat. I completely agree, because much of this board is psuedoscience as well. But I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like the tulpa phenomenon to be treated seriously, and I can't see that happening if we take metaphysics seriously, OR if the community cannot even follow its own guidelines. The "soft science" and psuedoscience that takes place on the research board is a step in the right direction; Metaphysics is not. Scanning through the first page of this board I can see a few good topics though. The EEG experiments look promising, even if the sensor used is very primitive, because it is one of the only things I've seen so far which shows actual objective data. Even though they're far less factual, the "Tulpaforcing Side Effects", "Attention Starvation", "Tulpas making Tulpas", and "Sleep Paralysis Testing" all seem very interesting as well. Even though much of the "research" here isn't perfect, it's still useful as a method of learning more about tulpae and their capabilities, usefulness, downsides, etc. I don't see much use in metaphysics though.
  8. Metaphysics != Science. By DEFINITION metaphysics is not science. There are no logical gymnastics you can do to justify placing this topic here. Leave metaphysics to metaphysics, and leave science to science. They are two different things and there are two different boards for this reason. Forge, how are you a mod if you can't follow forum topic guidelines? Oh, an Admin condones this? Nevermind. Chupi, you as an Admin are okay with this? You guys don't give a shit about your own rules? How can you comfortably mention psi energy on the research board? Are the following really your ideas of "research" and "experimentation"? You can really tell a community has gone to shit when community leaders refuse to follow the community's rules. You two are ridiculous. The meta board says to keep ALL discussions on the subject of metaphysics there. Do you think it's ok for you to ignore this just because you guys are moderation?
  9. I'd liike to dedicate a portion of my first post in nearly two months to ask you why the fuck you would make that distinction. I'd be willing to bet that over 80% of tulpa.info is either mlp faggots or anime faggots. It's really not that difficult to see why. And mulder, it's probably just because you have someone watching everything you do. Some people might feel uncomfortable because they feel that heir god is watching over them and judging them for their actions, while some of us might feel uncomfortable because we feel that our tulpae (was a standard plural form of "tulpa" ever decided on?) are watching over us and judging us. If you feel that this is true in your case, I don't see what the problem is. If you created your tulpa with a judging personality, then congratulations, it's worked, and you have nothing to worry about. If you created your tulpa with a non-judgmental personality, then she shouldn't be judging you, and there's nothing to worry about.
  10. Why not under General Discussion? Seems like the topic of god being a brain-buddy instead of a metaphysical being is definitely a "general Tulpa-related topic".
  11. At this point i would recommend that all posters who do not usually frequent the metaphysics board simply leave this thread alone. Non-metaphysics members debating with metaphysics members is a waste of time because they are two completely different sides of the tulpa community "coin" and have next to nothing in common. There is as nothing to be gained from attempting any sort of discussion between them. You clearly have no concept of how scientific review or burden of proof work. If a man says that something ridiculous is possible, then his peers will mock him. If this man explains the reasoning and fact behind why he holds his ridiculous beliefs, then his peers will listen. If this man goes on to give undeniable evidence as to why his beliefs are true, then his peers will believe and this man's beliefs will no longer be considered ridiculous. You have done the first of these three things. You have implied that you believe it to be possible to see tulpae, without giving any reason for why or any evidence for it. You bring up past stories and occurrences and hide behind a shield of ignorance and yet offer nothing new, giving no new evidence for your claims. Insulting other members while your account is less than 1 week old is egotistical and immature. Stop being such an abrasive hypocrite. Just because scientists learn new things and prove themselves wrong every once in a while does not mean that every baseless theory in the world is suddenly true. That's a preposterous thought.
  12. The only way that my tulpa has helped me to study or do work is by motivating and urging me to get up and go do it. She's never given me any answers or tips, although I can't say for sure that this is impossible. I agree on both counts.
  13. Good advice above. 7 hours of anything is a really damn long time, and if you're going to be doing ANYTHING that places you under a lot of mental strain, you need to take breaks. When I'm studying for long periods of time, I always study for an hour straight and then take a 20-30 minute break, and then do another hour, take another break, and so on. If you really want to be forcing that much, then it's important that you find a good amount of time for rest in between sessions. Go for a walk, watch some tv, anything that requires no thought will do, but mostly you just need to kick back and (mentally) relax.
  14. This thread doesn't need to be moved. You're just asking us a question, don't sweat it. The answer to this question depends on which school of thought you follow: Physical (Psychiological, Biological, etc) or Metaphysical. People who think that tulpae only exist in your mind as a separate personality or even just different neurons will say that it is impossible for anyone but you to see your own tulpa as you do. People who think that tulpae exist as metaphysical beings outside of the body will say that it is totally and completely possible for another person to see your tulpa exactly as you do. You might want to do some reading on both schools of thought to decide which one you think is right, because tulpae have many different pros and cons depending on whether you believe your tulpa is inside or outside of your head. Edit: Oh, it seems like you'd prefer metaphysical. Check out that section of the forum, I'm sure you'll find some relevant threads.

Nice find. I'll play devil's advocate and suggest that it could all just be normal daydreaming, but: sounds exactly like what we've been calling wonderland visualization.
