  1. This is a really good idea! I will certainly be getting involved as soon as possible. I hope we can get a good guide out soon. Will this project also include a PR push? We could probably expand the community soon, since we have a fair backing of permanent members.
  2. Hello, nlc11 here. My Tulpa is Resine, he has been a Tulpa for around 6 months, but has been in development for around 2-3 years, which brings me to what I would be interested in talking about. Resine was a sort of 'imaginary friend' who I imagined frequently. After learning about Tulpa, I almost immediately started to develop him as a Tulpa, and he become vocal after about two days or so. My main focus would be on the notion of the difference between a Tulpa and an imaginary friend, and 'upgrading' an imaginary friend to a Tulpa. I'm also quite interested in psychology (although, I have no formal education), and would like to discuss psychological aspects of Tulpa. I feel a little cheeky to ask since I'm still fairly new, and haven't been as active as I probably should have been, but I would love a chance to be on the Tulpaudcast!
  3. NoneFromHell, this is the best advice that can ever be given. Couldn't have said it better myself. Gvina, just go with the flow of the process. Nothing you do will harm you nor your Tulpa. Just read guides, post progress, keep interested. Not getting bored and giving up on the process is the most important thing you can do.
  4. Incredible survey, keep up the good work. I had a little difficulty with some of the questions, since my Tulpa development was a little unorthodox, essentially having one before I knew about them, and then developing that Tulpa after I found out about them. I hope that doesn't skew the data. I caught it just in time, too. When can we expect the results?
  5. Perfectly fine for the Tulpa to change form in the early stages. Few Tulpas finish looking like how they started. It's fine to not have a wonderland in the early stages, you will likely make one with your Tulpa at a later time, usually when s/he is fully sentient. Many people visualise a Tulpa in 'void', which is also fine. There are many visualisation techniques that can be found dotted about these forums. There are many types of narration, which fall under the blanket of 'forcing'. I recommend reading a few of the guides on this forum for a greater understanding of this topic, find them here. 'Cold waves' may be the Tulpa communicating in an early way. Continue to develop the Tulpa and you will receive more apparent communication. Not talking to the Tulpa for two hours will not cause it to disappear, but the more attention, obviously, the better the Tulpa will develop. I do not speak more than one language, but from what I know about Tulpa, I think that you should have no trouble communicating in any number of languages. Tulpa tend to have the same knowledge as you.
  6. This is really cool. I would like to do something like this some time. I need to be more active first though…
  7. Wow, this sounds great. Really wonderful to see things like this be made. I have a question, how was the interview done? Face-to-face or over the internet/phone?
  8. Hello everyone, nice to meet you. This is my first post here, so I still don't know where I am. Feel free to move this if there is a specific place for this type of stuff. So, as a little background: I generally find it hard to sleep. Not insomnia, just difficulty in falling asleep. The way I found to deal with this was to imagine a person and 'talk' to them for a few minutes, then I could quickly fall asleep. After finding this site (came here from Dream Views) I was quickly taken up by the idea of a Tulpa, and who better to use than my 'imaginary friend' who I had already visualised for years and knew the personality of inside out as my Tulpa. So, I started forcing Resine, and five or six days in, I think that I am getting responses and Resine seems sentient. However, this feels too quick, people on this forum talk about it taking a long time to develop a Tulpa. So what do you guys think? Is this the beginning of a Tulpa and with more time it will develop into a fully autonomous Tulpa, or is it just my 'imagination' (use that word loosely here)? Are there any other accounts of people having imaginary friends that become Tulpa quickly? Thanks
  9. I see what you mean. So, the question here is more about developing physical skill from knowledge rather than possessing the knowledge to begin with? Especially in regards to possession or switching? In that case, I can't see why not. As you point out, there is a difference between moving the mental body and the physical body, which requires brute practice.
  10. I can’t remember where, but I once read about someone who didn’t allow his tulpa access to his memories and his tulpa had memories of being in wonderland without the host having the same memories (but I can’t vouch for the validity of this). So, it seems possible that the host and tulpa might be able to have different memories. As for application, the tulpa is, for all intents and purposes, imaginary, so imaging playing the piano and actually playing it are two very different things. A much better experiment would to try with something like a science; seeing if the tulpa could figure out bond angles within molecules before the host and the like.
  11. It would most likely be that a tulpa is when a second personality is allowed to develop within the brain. Somehow, the brain allows for parallel processing without affecting the first personality. Although the ‘limit’ is unknown, some claim that they have five or more tulpae, some claiming that there is no limit. This rases the question of how the human brain can manage such a feat. In other words, a tulpa is likely a separate person all together, but uses the same brain, but with different opinions, memories &c. You could also try throwing this to the metaphysics and parapsychology board to get a completely different take on this.
  12. Nice to meet you. I don't think that formulae or calculation is possible within the realm of psychology since, as pointed out by others in this thread, is a subjective subject. We can't measure a value with units, so any kind of formulae would be pointless since it would only, at best, return a number with no meaning in the real world. Saying that, I would encourage the development of a scale for everything we possibly can. A scale for how 'complete' a tulpa is, a scale for how autonomous &c. These are very useful in psychology since they allow for categorisation of the phenomena and make studying it quite easy. The CSI scale looks great to me!
