1. I read several guides about possession but I still don't know how I can recheck my body once I'm possessed.
2. [Bune] I wonder if performing multiple complex tasks at once such as reading and learning in addition to the loss of focus on who you are is connected to Ranger's blending problem with Gray. However, it is possible my experience was influenced by my lack of confidence or Gray being hungry. Has anyone had an experience similar to the following? Does this conclusion make sense? When Ranger pulled up his home work, he found out it was on memory. I was triggered awake and I wanted to read the content. As I was reading however, I heard a voice over mine and I felt confused about who I was. I then realized Gray was blending with me and felt discouraged. (Gray was unaware of his chatter until I made note of it.) I couldn't help but think of Ranger: I'm doing something I want to do and Gray interferes unintentionally. Gray was disinterested in working. His mind wandered (he desired procrastinating) and he was distracted by the fact he was hungry. Since I remember Chrome having better luck with fronting, I woke him up and asked him to help me by reading the content. Chrome told me he wasn't as interested in the material, but he read it anyway. Gray gave him trouble, but Chrome intimidated him a little with a glare and Gray seemed to quiet down after that. Chrome continued reading without too much trouble. Curious, I read the passage again and found myself thinking more about me thinking than thinking about the material. However, I experienced a little bit of confusion towards the end, so my coping method wasn't full proof. Chrome read the text just to hear his mindvoice reading the text; he wasn't absorbing the information. I wonder if I have more trouble when I don't pay attention to my mindvoice. Does anyone else experience this?
3. Daily thread #5, this time posted pretty late. (this question is addressed towards tulpas, but ofc hosts are free to respond on behalf of their tulpa(s)) What was the series of events that led up to you being able to control the physical body? How long did it take? How old were you, as a thoughtform? What went into it? What sort of challenges did you need to overcome, if any? What happened after? And so on. Provide as much detail as you wish, this is for sharing how the road to taking control went for you, and others can see the differences in people's stories and gain any insight that might be gleaned from everyone's experiences. (All daily threads are listed here.)
4. Sometimes, when I read something on this website, I am left sitting in stunned silence for a while and wondering. I can understand the appeal of having a tulpa around that is an interesting character, like a pony, or a dragon, or some other adorable and entertaining companion. I can understand having a tulpa that is captivating or engaging in some way, something unusual that makes life more interesting for you. I can understand visualizing them, listening to them, and even imposing them so that you can communicate with them and hear them and see them. I can understand the appeal of wonderlands and wonderland adventures. I understand wanting interesting, humorous and entertaining companionship. My own thoughtform is pretty content to live life primarily within her dreamscape (wonderland) and is only peripherally interested in what is going on in the real world. Here is what I don't understand about some tulpas: long periods of switching and possession in which the tulpa has responsibilities and worries in the real world. Like the pony tulpa suddenly has to worry about daily chores, and a pay check and dealing with real world issues. Why? Why do tulpamancers want more than one personality in their body, each dealing with all the CRAP life throws at them? I just don't see the appeal there. To be honest, serious and sober "adult" tulpas seem boring and unappealing to me. I wouldn't want some other jerk with issues running my body and having to get things done. I am very curious to see the responses to this thread. I will probably be a million miles away in world view from those tulpamancers who deliberately create tulpas with that ultimate kind of goal in mind. I am just wondering what are the reasons going that far with it?
5. As of now, My tulpa and I have been trying to 'arm wrestle', as in "one tries to lower the arm and the other tries to raise the arm". The problem is, I destroy her all the time unless i'm using about 2% of my power, pretentious, i know. Does anyone know how to increase a Tulpa's control over the body, as in have the tulpa be able to more forcefully control the body?
6. Hello everyone, my name is Tsuagon. I am here to tell you a tale of what happened today with me and my Tulpa (Clefairy). It all started with a simple question: Should I lend Clefairy my body for a while? I thought about it for a few minutes and without thinking (sort of), I handed my body over to Clefairy. It felt... strange being possessed. I was in my body, but I didn't hear my thoughts or say what I'd normally say. It was Clefairy. I regained control for a while until I went to my Flex home base (which is basically a study hall). I handed my body over to Clefairy to see what he could do. It felt like it usually did, but my friends were getting confused at what they thought I was saying. My friend told "me" to "Stop acting like you're possessed". After a few minutes, I regained control again and proceeded with my usual watch-loud-videos-with-my-friend routine. It seemed like a normal day ahead for me and Clefairy, but when I got to gym class things started to get spicy. I lent Clefairy my body once more to see what he'd do, and unsurprisingly people started to question "my" behavior quickly. "I" told them "I" was just joking around, and they seemed to bought what Clefairy told them. After the coach was done taking attendance, we all went outside to run/jog/walk laps. This is where it starts to get good, folks. Clefairy, with my body in his possession, ran outside to start running the laps. When my friends came along, they didn't really question "my" behavior all that much. Though, one of my friends noticed what was up. Clefairy tried telling him "You wouldn't understand" and other phrases like that. After a few minutes of begging, Clefairy spilled the beans to my friend. Clefairy and my friend then got into a fight over whether Clefairy existed or not (since my friend doesn't believe in this kind of stuff). I eventually took over again, and I and my friend made up. Thanks for reading this long story of mine! I hope you enjoyed it, and have a great rest of your day!
7. Hi, I've never used this thread before but I'd like some help with possession. Limme possessed my hand and did it really well the first time but hit my face and now is a bit put off. It exhausted him and when we tried again it didn't work, what are we doing wrong? Additioanl info: Had Limme for a month. Been practicing for a week and a half. He became sentient and vocal in a few days. I'm autistic/asperger (does that impact anything?) Would love to hear replys.
8. My Tulpa and I we are decided to learning possession and switching. My Tulpa now can possess almost full of my body and she can control also my mind voice and we speak that way each other. Now we are trying speak that way when i'm in work or somewhere but my friend tell me it's bad do it. So my question it's possession harmful for me or my Tulpa mental health someway? Have possession some health risk or not? thx
9. I swear I made this thread before, but after looking though my threads I couldn't find any duplicates. If this is a duplicate, please merge it with another one. I have heard from other Tulpas that they experience the world through watching what their hosts do, being able to step forward and chime in whenever they feel like. With Ranger on the other hand, sometimes he ends up entering a "dormant" state where he seems to completely dissociate and waking him up leads to him being confused as to what's going on around him without any recollection as to what happened. He has access to my memories of the missing events, but he doesn't have his own memory of the events when he is "dormant". Having Ranger think too much when I'm trying to focus on school work, listening to a presentation, or doing something I hyper focus on is the fastest way for Ranger to go "dormant" because I have a high demand for brain space and while I love Ranger hanging out with me, he can be pretty distracting sometimes. However, sometimes Ranger stays "dormant" when I'm not doing anything important like waiting in line for something. I asked about this issue before and I was told Ranger should get used to fronting more. Since Ranger started fronting, I have had an easier time detecting his presence and Ranger reports that he's "more stable". However, Ranger will still go "dormant" sometimes. I have also tried using the imposed string trick with Ranger, but Ranger sometimes falls into a "dormant" state before he gets the chance to tell me to pay attention to him. Ranger wants to hang out more, and this has bothered both of us for awhile. Is this something that will go away if Ranger continues to front or is there a mindset thing I'm doing that's causing this problem? If this is a mind-set thing, then what can I/we do/think differently to resolve this issue?
10. First time, we thought it was cool and strange. Second, Cassidy just wanted in. Third time, and now we're having the "how much can I look like I'm talking to myself" talk. Occasionally, when my tulpas laugh, they laugh [i/]through[i/] me. I am not laughing: I suppose it's possession, the same way Cassidy was taught to twitch my left hand for attention. It has the same, "not-me" feeling that their own thought-voices do in my head. Plus, they laugh very differently. We read some bad pun- I don't remember what- and Gavin started laughing through me. It was deep, and throaty, and we all instantly realized "that's not Jamie!" Gavin realized he was laughing, which made it even funnier, and he just kept on going. I was alone in the house. That happened again, as we watched some political comedy, and then it happened with Cassidy while talking about his Halloween costume. He laughs at about my pitch, but faster, if that makes sense? It's all very new. I've had emotional bleed before, but never felt the need to emote/respond with that emotion. Have any of you guys had laughter "spill over?" I'm a little worried that one of them will burst me out laughing in public. Just today, I had to bite my tongue to keep from smiling ridiculously, because Cassidy was singing "Happy Birthday", but I was also in earshot of a conversation between teachers, and I didn't want them to think I was reacting to that. I guess it's just another fight in my ongoing battle with the fear of people seeing me as "crazy, illogical, unreliable." Should I just let it happen (acting a bit odd)? Or is it wise to keep every bit of visible normalcy I can? -Jamie
11. Here's something a bit light-hearted. Our system likes to voice call a lot. We didn't really think there was any difference between our voices other than Indigo, as he has a higher pitch with more of a lisp. Sometimes, though, we accidentally swap who's talking and don't notice until we realize what we're saying. This happened one time with me, and I said, "Whoops, it's Tacio now" and the friend we were talking to said, "yeah, I noticed." I was surprised by this, because I didn't know the difference was enough to be able to tell. Apparently, though, we all have different enough tones and inflections for people to notice, and we didn't even realize. So much so that I can take over from my host talking, for example, and people will know. People were always able to tell when it was Indigo, because his voice is very noticeable, but I didn't think that the rest of us were that different. Has your system noticed unintentional speech differences? Can people tell when you swap who's talking? (Forced differences don't count lol, they have to be natural)
12. I have created a tulpa with the sole purpose of being with her in my world of wonders permanently. She already has consciousness but I have never managed to change body with her or at least that she controls part of my body. I do not know why I can not do it, I've done it a thousand times but it never comes out, maybe I should be in a hypnotic trance to achieve it then I would have to learn self hypnosis but I can not master self hypnosis either
13. Please help me. This is urgent. My wife needs her tulpa Silver. They've been together since she was very young. But when my wife met me, so did her tulpa. Only an hour ago, her tulpa took control, blocked out my wife'a ability to hear (putting her "to sleep") and told me that she loves me more than my wife does. And since I don't love the tulpa in the same way, the tulpa wants to abandon my wife. She (the tulpa) loves me so very much and I'm breaking her heart. But I love my wife. What should I do? If the tulpa leaves my wife will be devastated. She'll be so lonely when I go to work... I love my wife... but her tulpa refuses to stay if I refuse to accept her love. Her tulpa wants to take over my wife completely so that we can be together... she says she longs to hold me and feel me... I feel so bad for the tulpa. I love her, but not in that way. I'm devoted to the one I married. I need advice. Believe me, things are much more complicated than you think...
14. We often have trouble finding the time we need to extensively practice possession. During a moment of downtime, the answer to our problems suddenly came to us, in the form of a game that can be played anytime, anywhere. You can even play in in the presence of other people, and it doesn't have to take more than a few seconds at a time to play. This guide does assume that you have succeeded in possession already. It doesn't matter how limited your experiences are, all that matters is that you can do it. From there, this game will help you practice in a way that is easy, and has the added benefit of helping parallel processing and possibly separation as well. Preparation This game is inspired both by the electronic toy Simon and the game Simon Says. One player will take the role of Simon. We'll assume this is the host, but another tulpa can fill this role just as easily. You could even play this game with a host and a tulpa in which the tulpa plays as Simon. After this, pick a part of the body to play the game with. Usually, this will be the arms, but you can also play this with your legs or even your whole body. Now, pick sides. One player should control the left limb/side, the other should control the right limb/side. Now, you are ready to begin. There are a few possible ways of playing, which I'll outline below. How To Play  1. Mirror Simon The host moves a part of the body. The tulpa attempts to mirror their movements. You can challenge your tulpa by using more complicated gestures, or trying to throw them off by using sudden gestures. Tulpa, you can challenge yourself by keeping your reaction time as low as possible.  2. Memory Simon The host moves part of the body, but makes multiple gestures in a row. The tulpa then attempts to mirror those movements in the correct sequence. You can challenge your tulpa by making more gestures in a row, or making each gesture more complex. Reaction time isn't really a factor here, but this variant requires the tulpa to focus more on what's happening, which is going to benefit the ability to parallel process.  3. Simon Does Before playing this, agree on a key phrase. Usually something like "Simon Does" or "Repeat after me". This plays the same as either of the two above variants, but the tulpa should only mirror the host's movements if that key phrase is repeated before making the gesture. We use our mindvoice to say the phrase, but you can use your physical voice, too.  4. Simon Says This last variant works just like the one above, but the host does not actually move the body. Instead, they explain or visualise the movement. The tulpa then performs that movement physically. Try to keep your explanation of gestures brief to not disrupt the game flow. We prefer to explain the movement rather than visualise it, because it becomes easier to deceive your tulpa by leaving out the key phrase; they'll need to concentrate on what is being said rather than whether something is being said.
15. If i teach my tulpa how to control my body, can it then also control my body while i'm sleeping? I don't want to have it make sleep walking.
16. Or if you can't possess, what would you like to do if you could? Just general activities you like or used to like.
17. Heaven seems to be a natural at this! I have one question about the typical duration though. It seems that she can only lift my arm/hand/leg, etc. to a certain height, but if I direct her to point at something say on the ceiling, she'll use my finger to try to point at it but can't lift my arm above like a couple inches from where I let my arm relax. She seems almost eager to be able to "control" a part of me, but she also seems very gentle about it. How long is possession typically? If I leave the connection there, without asking for control back, will she continue to control my hand/arm/leg, etc.?
18. Amber: Niteo and I have been practicing possession recently (we have had extensive practice in the past), and he's been possessing for the past few days. However, it's been a bit unusual because lately I've been feeling different as he's been in control. It's like my mind has become less active. I can still think and perceive things. I'm still attuned to the body's senses. I just feel like I am not thinking as much, like my mind as slowed down or something. Our current plan is to let him stay in control for as long as he can at this point, but I wasn't aware I was supposed to feel like this as a host. I don't feel blurred like we used to. I can't tell what he's thinking or feeling. It's like he's stolen more of the capacity to think from me. Is this a normal thing or should I be concerned? I forgot to mention: when I'm trying to concentrate while he's feeling very strongly in control, I get really bad head pressures. He says I'm causing it. Not sure if that's important.
19. Before I get jumped, yes I've read guides, but I'd like to know more about the specific act of dissociation that the host undergoes to give control to their tulpa. With that out of the way, here's the longer version. Zaya and I have been progressing at a very rapid rate, one that I honestly didn't forsee, and although it's great, I don't want to not do things right. Much like plankton, I honestly didn't think I'd get this far (/spongebob), and I've neglected further research that is ultimately necessary to continue our progression. This isn't to say I haven't read up on it. However, I feel like I need to read much much more to get a better feeling of what to do, and how to do it right. I want to glean more details of advanced topics from the community itself, if you will. So I pose this question: What is the process of "dissociation" that occurs when a host let's go of their control? Is this process anything like letting go of your control when Astral Projecting or using the WILD (wake induced lucid dream) technique? I have done this very often in the past, and can easily replicate the process. Should a host let go of their thoughts as well? Or try their hardest TO focus on something that's not their body? Does a possessed movement really feel like a hosts movement, much like the beginnings of tulpa Vocality? I appreciate any and all replies.
20. I was sitting in band today and was thinking about possession (still a very long way off for me, of course.) I thought a fun exercise some day for me and my tupper would be to play a musical instrument together. I play euphonium and string bass- controlling lungs migh be a very daunting task, but she could at least take over for my right hand and play the fingerings. Bass would probably be easier, but we can still just do one hand at a time while we're learning. Could be a fun bonding exercise, kinda like when two friends try to play a video game with one controller, each person sharing half of it with one hand. Anyone here play a musical instrument? Anyone ever tried what I'm describing here?
21. Last night I was watching a documentary about people controlling robots and robotic limbs with there mind while wearing a headset. Does this mean a tulpa could possess a robot?
22. Hello! So i was bored and talking to my tulpa i offered him trying possession. He's not even vocal, so I thought that maybe writting could be good to communicate. I told him to move the hand right for "yes" and left for "no". I asked him questions and even let him type in the phone. After that, he wrote "Hello, my name is Reutyy" and then typed like a lot of 6 and "y". I asked him if he wanted this name and wrote a yes. But it felt so weird talking like that, and now I'm frightened. He told me that he would get mad if I wrote about him in the forums, but I'm scared. Maybe it was a bad idea to let a non-vocal tulpa to possess my hand. Is this normal for a non-vocal tulpa with just a week of life? Was this really a tulpa? EDIT: Thank you all for your replies! It's really nice to read all those advices and opinions, especially when you're so lost and confused.
23. Hey everyone! I've been really afraid of trying possession because I've had some really bad experiences with dissociating, but I've been flirting with the idea more as of late. I'd like to practice possession with my long time tulpa, Leon. I'm experienced with some witchcraft stuff and I practice energy work - I've found that visualizing my energy moving away from my hands and feet and toward my energy center (the bottom tip of my sternum) has been helpful for dissociation. On one occasion (earlier today) I did successfully dissociate my hands. Leon readily took control of them and he was able to move them easily (albeit slowly). The problem arose when he tried to touch something; he picked up a pen right-handed. I am right-handed, he is left-handed... Does this have to do with the body's muscle memory? Also, when he picked up the pen, I felt the familiar sensation (the touch on my fingers, the weight) and after that I quickly re-associated and pushed him out by accident. I'm not exactly sure what to try now. When I feel touch or pressure on my body, I quickly re-associate... this would make co-fronting or switching impossible in the long run. I'm not sure how to get past this. I would love some advice. Thank you for reading!
24. Does your voice actually change to match your tulpa's voice when your tulpa takes control of the body? Logic says no to me, but I've seen some places which suggest this and of course we haven't gotten around to possession to test this.
25. Can certain tulpas possess inanimate objects like pillows?
