problems with visualization and parallel processing

Recommended Posts

this post is about two unrelated things, but I didn't want to make two posts at the same time, so that's why they're together. The first thing is with visualization; and this isn't a tulpamancy-specific problem, but I have a hard time getting things to look how I want to. Things will start randomly rotating/translating (usually in a cyclic pattern) and I can't get them to stop, or things will appear and I can't get them to disappear for any significant amount of time. I also have a lot of trouble looking out of my headspace form's eyes (my "camera" is always in a default detached state unless I force it not to be), but even when I do get it to be out of my form, I can't always get it to stay on it (this is especially bad if my form rotates on the X or Z axis; e.g. if I fall over or something). I'm not really sure what to do about this, and things like this have always been a problem for me. for me, at least for the latter thing, it's not as big of a problem since to be honest, I don't really look out of my form's eyes too much, I mostly just "absorb" my surroundings unconsciously.
second topic, and I'll let Amaba write this:
Me and daemon have been trying to parallel process for a bit. but, we haven't been able to. I don't know what the problem is, but we seemingly just can't. we were trying to do this game, where daemon would say a word and I would respond with how many letters are in it, and it is so hard! I always get off by one! it's so annoying, I don't know why I can't do it! when daemon does it it's fine, or sometimes they help me think about in which case I can... but then when I try, on my own, suddenly it's impossible! We try some other stuff too, like I'll try to count or do math on my own it i just can't without help! I'm not really sure what to do next, it's so infuriating! I don't know what to do about this, can anyone help?
with the word counting one in specific, Amaba just seems to guess the number of letters in the word, when she gives a response. same goes for doing math; unless I help her do it she just guesses, or at least that's from my perspective, Amaba disagrees: I think i'm doing it, but I'm just really bad at it! I'm not guessing...

system members:

Ivy [formerly Daemon] (host, any pronouns)
Amaba (tulpa, she/they)

Mythril (walk-in, he/him)

maybe more but those are the significant ones

I don't believe it's guessing necessarily, because we noticed that a lot of what we think and do is pre-processed before we express it consiously. If you're concentrating on calculating the number, that's what's recorded, you still have to but you don't have to consiously do it. It's hard to explain using that exercise but it works for things like brainstorming and conversation, especially with tulpish which can convey whole sentences instantly, we know that the bottleneck is the consious mind and not the calculations/thinking. So in our opinion, the parallel process is subconscious.

The consious mind is linear almost all the time for us.
