We see this worry a lot, and it's a common creepypasta "My tulpa punched someone/my tulpa killed someone." Bear was also apprehensive about switching and was pretty clear that he didn't want it (we all were and I haven't ever done it and don't intend to). However, switching was one of the greatest things that ever happened to us and allowed for so many insights and positive changes that to think we were once frightened by it is silly be comparison.

 

Just relax. The fronter can block out anyone else and before you learn to switch, the notion that a tulpa would suddenly switch in or posses to the extent to overpower you is virtually unfounded.

 

Though it's common in the DID community, those are alters and they're not 'created' willfully by the host. Typically they're created by trauma in early childhood.
