Timmins' Progress Report

Hello hi, I am Timaeus and I'm bad at this also this is a log of the progress I make in creating a tulpa. Yeah, this is my first time posting on a forum and attempting to create a tupper. So uh, here it is.

 

Day 1

 

Did everything wrong and basically dicked around and talked to myself

 

Day 2

 

Started outlining some basic personality traits for about a half hour, then repeated that for another hour or so before I feel asleep.

 

Day 3

 

Spent 2.5 hours on a smorgasbord of personality reinforcement, visualization and narration. About an hour and a half on narration because I couldn't get to sleep, then a splitting headache at the end of everything. I also found out that I can't focus on narration at all unless I do this. I think it's great, because it helps me to feel like I'm actually talking to Petra and not just thinking to myself, which is really all I need to hold my interest in narration. Visualization was still difficult for me at this point, I kept getting distracted and tupper kept getting odd features, i.e stretched and deformed limbs, odd faces and occasionally morbid obesity happened. So yeah, Day 3 was probably my best day thus far. Also, assume every narration session from here on out starts with a half hour of the "Treating as sentient before sentience" method.

 

Day 4

 

Tried visualizing again after the "Treating as sentient before sentience" thing, and I found that I was able to hold a clear image of my tulpa in my mind for 40 minutes or so, but I think clothing is still pretty far off, I'm not sure what she would be wearing and I don't want to have her clothing become a permanent part of her so she can't change outfits. Started narrating that night before bed, about an hour of narration and then I fell asleep in the middle. Had a panic attack when I woke up and apologized profusely. More narration that night, but I fell asleep after an hour or so again.

 

Day 5

 

Apologized even more profusely and promised it wouldn't happen again. Went out to fly kites, laying in the grass and talking to tupper while doing so, about an hour and a half of this. Very relaxing and no real negative effect on myself, such as headaches and the like. Also parroted her responses a few times on accident, but found that she already had a distinct voice when I spoke for her, which I think will save us some time when she becomes sentient. Watched American Psycho again, then hit the hay.

 

Day 6

 

Flew some kites and watched people flying model planes around for a while, described it to tupper for a half hour or so, then spent an hour talking about Ender's game and where her name came from (Petra). Going to watch American Psycho yet again and I plan on narrating for a while before I get to sleep tonight.

Day 6 update

 

I fell asleep forcing again.

Day 7

 

Narrated while I was at school, probably about 2 hours total, with 20 minutes every class. I did alright. Also narrating while playing KSP and unintentionally slaughtering cosmonauts. Going to try Schlondark's thing he posted wherein I narrate 24/7 until it becomes a normal thing to do, if I can. Narrated for most of the day. Narrated while watching American History X, wherein I tried to tell Petra about what was going on in the movie and trying not to sound like a racist when I kept pointing out the black kids harassing the white kid in the bathroom. Did that for an hour or so, then went to bed and narrated for a half hour until I wished Petra a goodnight and promptly fell asleep.

AND NOW DAY 8

 

Narrated most of the school day, probably 3 hours total. Also decided to do this because holy shit holy shit >20 hours and vocal. So yeah. I plan on killing some Kerbal cosmonauts for a bit and then VISUALIZATION FOREVER. I'm doing it, I'm making it happen.
