TW: stabbing/intrusive thoughts

Alr, so I have OCD and it used to be really bad. I'm in remission right now but am still extremely susceptible to intrusive thoughts. I get intrusive thoughts just by worrying I'm going to get intrusive thoughts.

I've let Wren know that if she senses a weird or disturbing thought from me to try and let it go because I get intrusive thoughts at tines, but I'm still worried that a bad one could hurt her (see, just by worrying about that I got an IT of myself stabbing her)

Can this kind of thing hurt my tulpa?

Intrusive thoughts definitely make tulpamancy harder, but the better you can get at identifying them and separating them from true thoughts the stronger you both will be. The only way intrusive thoughts can hurt Wren is if either of you take them to be "true" thoughts. As she learns and grows, Wren will get an understanding of who you are and will realize that if a thought pops up of you harming her in some way, that thought would be out of character for you and invalid. The main thing here is to keep an open line of communication so you can discuss if something is bothering one of you. That way any possible misunderstanding about whether or not a thought was intrusive can be disarmed before it has time to cause serious hurt.

Basically you have remember that tulpamancy is all about belief, and the way to disarm intrusive thoughts is to not believe in them. You're the ultimate master of what really happens in your own mind. If you have an intrusive thought about harming Wren, just tell yourself/her that it didn't happen. I have found in my experiences with my own host (Who doesn't have OCD but does have depression that can sometimes generate hurtful thoughts) that fighting the thoughts themselves is not the answer, rather, you can deprive them of their power. It's like bringing an umbrella on a rainy day rather than trying to stop the storm.

Sounds like you already have a good mindset about this, so keep it up! 👍
