Felixy_felix December 15, 2022 December 15, 2022 My tulpa has memories from my eleventh birthday (before their 'creation'), I'm fourteen now and started forcing and became aware if them about a year ago, I didn't even know what a tulpa was 3 years ago, so I don't think I made them on accident. I'm kinda wondering if they existed on their own before and my forcing helped them connect to me in a way? I'm most likely not a DID/OSDD system since I've not had any past trauma, and we only switch when we both want too. Sorry if this makes no sense, but I'm overall just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if there are any possible explanations.
TurboSimmie December 15, 2022 December 15, 2022 It is natural for your tulpa to remember things from your life before you created them because they share the same memory as you! I have access to literal decades of memories from times where I did not exist because they are my host's memories. It's actually super useful too because your tulpa can provide an outsider's perspective on these memories, almost like the Pensive from Harry Potter, if you're familiar with that. Etna December 18, 2022 December 18, 2022 We share the same physical brain, so yes, of course I remember things from before I was "born." It's helpful to know what's gone on before. Doc (she/her) = Host Franklyn (he/him) = Tulpa
