Trueciphers May 18, 2023 May 18, 2023 Hello, I am new to tulpa as a beginner, I have some questions I hope to find answers here. 1 How to be sure that my tulpa is created, is there any signs like some kind of feeling or headache etc...? 2 when the mission is done and the tulpa starts intracting, is it possible for him to affect the physical world, like move objecs, take or bring something? Thank you in advance.
TurboSimmie May 19, 2023 May 19, 2023 Welcome! 😊 1: You may start to experience "head pressures", a light sensation in your head that a lot of early tulpamancers feel. Some people feel a mild headache but that's less common. Ultimately, no one can truly tell you if you have a tulpa other than yourself. 2: A tulpa can't do anything that you can't already do. So when your tulpa learns skills like possession or switching, they will be able to use your body to pick things up, move things around, anything that you can already do. But it's best not to think about learning those skills until your tulpa is sentient and well developed. The Cryptid System May 19, 2023 May 19, 2023 Hmmm, I have been experiencing slight headaches but me and Sasha have determined she is an Alter, although we have just recently had an image appear to us without either of us influencing it (More information on our meet and greet thread) so maybe that's why. Franklyn May 19, 2023 May 19, 2023 +1 on what Simmie said. I would add that if you're asking if Tulpas can give you some kind of telekinetic powers, then the answer is no. I can't get things from the top of a shelf without Doc physically standing on a chair in front of it and switch in to I use her arms to physically get it down. Nor can we split from our hosts and do bad things to people who don't follow Home Owners' Association guidelines, like in that X-Files episode. Tulpa/Soulbond 🍝 (he/him)
Jules_and_Co May 19, 2023 May 19, 2023 One thing I believe should also be mentioned, because I believe I saw it mentioned somewhere on the forum before - for us, specifically, our host, Jules, *always* has the greater power when controlling the body, regardless of if we are practicing possession or not. Not sure if this is something other's can back me up on or if anyone experiences otherwise, but Jules doesn't black out or disappear from sentience just because I'm practicing fronting. She can always step in and take control of the body if needed. Even if I had malicious intent, she would be able to step in and regain control. -Fern
TurboSimmie May 20, 2023 May 20, 2023 I think that's pretty common. The host usually remains the most "powerful" one, for lack of a better term. The tulpa usually only fronts with the hosts' permission and the host can kick the tulpa out of the front if they want, but rarely the other way around. It's also very difficult for hosts to go dormant without a lot of practice. Phil has never gone dormant for more than a couple minutes while I've been switched in, and he can't go dormant on command either.
