This clearly is a great loss to the world. And so I've asked Echidna to help create more ensembles, to be memorialized on this thread. This first turned into an unholy marriage of each of our different personal styles. It has all the mournful elegance of a French clown playing a torreador in a modern opera. The ruffles? Indecent. 2serpents December 21, 2023 Author Share December 21, 2023 We were going to do matching outfits for Christmastime (we still intend to). Echidna really wanted me to do something with a cape so she could have a coordinating hood and we would look like we belonged together without either of us being in a full-on executioner's costume. But then after designing what to wear under the cape, the cape showed itself as completely irrelevant and would ruin the look. Maybe I'd add a scarf, that's it. After some soul-searching, I have concluded that I am not in fact a cape-wearer. The top, made of netting, is drawn from church windows - the Gothic kind with stone cutouts and diamond-shaped glass panels. The chains on the boots are an unambiguous reference to Jacob Marley, who helped remind so many poor Victorians of the true meaning of the season. 2serpents December 22, 2023 Author Share December 22, 2023 We saw these outrageous boots recently and I knew I had to wear something similar... even if my dear host tries to tell me I'd have to duck down to fit through doorways. It's all for the fine art of slutty dressing. (A friend of mine once wore platforms that height to play Frankenstein's monster, he fell down in the woods and had to crawl to the nearest house, lol) I am also very excited because Echidna decided to make a kind of doll dress-up game (Doll Divine nostalgia!). My model is pretty silly-looking but it's a sweet idea and we are both getting into designing all different pieces. 2serpents December 29, 2023 Author Share December 29, 2023 I now present... our Winter holiday outfits. I designed this dress for lady Echidna. It has been an utterly exhausting week of going out and all around to every kind of place with various questionable characters (mostly not questionable in the fun way). Were it up to me I would skip the mental and physical torture and stay in a nice dark, quiet room, but alas it is not up to me.
