Kurocon October 24, 2012 October 24, 2012 So, as I was forcing yesterday, I wanted to try something I read on the forums here. It's about asking your tulpa to surprise you to prove that they are sentient. This is what happened: I dropped into our wonderland next to Kuro (The nickname I gave my tulpa until she chose her own name), and I said to her; "Just to boost my confidence, surprise me, do something I would not expect." Then something unexpected happened, as expected, if I may make that joke. Suddenly my vision went black, I couldn't see Kuro any more, and I was sort of kicked out of the wonderland. Seeing my session was long from over, I tried re-entering. I succeeded, but it felt.. different. I looked around the house but didn't see Kuro anywhere. I went to the field behind the house, but no one. I felt a bit lost, wanting to abort the session, but something forced me to keep going. So I went and looked around for a bit. Once I came to the edge of the forest, I noticed a big tree that I hadn't seen before. When I went and investigated it, I found it was hollow inside. I went and explored around for a bit. I could see the sky if I looked upwards, and the ground was mossy and damp. After my eyes had adjusted to the dark, I could see a small tunnel, just big enough to fit through if I crawled. Behind the tunnel was an entire foresty-type dungeon thing. After wondering around room after room, I came across a rather large one, lighted from the cracks in the wood where the light spilled through. I was walking through the room, when I suddenly felt my back tingling like crazy. I turned around and there she was. Kuro was standing on a rock looking down at me. Smiling, she said; "You didn’t expect this, did you?"” I replied: "No.. Wow.. So you really are sentient, and you can speak now, too!"”- "Yeah, a little bit,"”she said, "oh, and I decided on a name." "Awesome," I said, "care to share it with me?" - "Yes." So we went back to the house, sat down in the living room, next to the fireplace, and I gave her a small blackboard and chalk and told her to write her name down, but to not let me see it until she wrote it down completely and was sure of it. She was writing. I couldn't see it. When she was done she turned the board around and I saw her name for the first time. "Kana" it said. I repeated it. And I really liked it. So, everyone. Meet Kana, my tulpa. That's what she has called herself and that's how I’ll refer to her from now. Kana. Now I need to learn to not call her 'Kuro' anymore.
