Some Questions Regarding Creation...

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but here we go...   So I had a few questions regarding creation, because I think i have the base for a tulpa. Mal, he calls himself. 

1. How do I confirm sentience? Because i think he MIGHT be, but it feels like i still put a little bit of effort in when he talks.

2. What are some ways I can visualize? I'm trying to make him as, well... "Real" as I can.

3. Not really a question, but this site doesn't recognize "tulpa" as a correctly spelled word.

4. If there's any way that I can contact him easier than just waiting for him, that'd be nice (Mal, I mean.)

5. Any tips for me? It'd be nice if so...

Lavender and I talk a lot about this. Even she's not sure, but she think's she's sentient because she can describe her thoughts and feelings. So maybe ask your tulpa if he can talk about his thoughts. But there is no way to "confirm" other than to take his word for it. Ultimately we decided this wasn't a useful question to answer.

It helped that I have experience with hypnosis and have experienced hypnosis induced hallucinations. It's not easy for everyone. My suggestion is to picture your room or whatever place you're in, but with your tulpa present in it and try to "see" that picture rather than what your eyes are telling you. If this doesn't work, maybe be content with a sense of his presence in a particular part of your space. Try to shut down the questioning part of your mind and accept as a given that he's where you visualize him to be. I hope this helps.

I ask my tulpa a question and then quiet my mind and listen for an answer. Sometimes i have to repeat back what I think I heard, because she is using our brain to answer so I can't use it to listen. It helps if I "manifest" her presence by thinking of her and my understanding of her essence (what is she like, how does she think, feel, etc.) while I'm waiting for an answer.

Just understand that there's only one brain there that you're both going to use so the more you use it the less your tulpa will be able to use it. Your goal is to train your brain to operate with your tulpa's "software" rather than your own, because the brain hardware is going to be the same. 

 

Also, enjoy the journey and try to avoid focusing on the destination. Getting to know your tulpa is hard but fun.

Mal's Note: Regarding his questions above... I think I'm... well... "sentient," as he says. I've seen him in my "Wonderland," as you call it, and he's seen my form. he just... can't keep it steady, if that makes sense.

(Mal likes to have me type his words sometimes, i think it's a way to listen to him better, this is one example that happened just now.)

1. If he thinks he is, then he is. "I think, therefore I am." Or something like that. I still feel like I put effort in when my system members are talking after years, depending on how focused I am. I think it's more that they're actively using part of my brain, so of course it'll slightly feel like me because we share a brain. And because he sits very close to me internally, and recently we've been blending slightly, because I don't notice this with my other system member. If I'm not really paying attention, I don't notice if it feels even slightly forced, and that's how I know he's real. Plus, he tells me he's real every single time I start to doubt.

 

2. There's visualization guides somewhere that you could probably check out as well!

 

4. You can "reach out" or say his name to try to get his attention. I usually just say their name and they respond.

 

5. The only thing I can think of is that communication is key, as with anything. Good luck to you and Mal!
