Bright's Ginger Ale Cultivation Project!

Hi all! Welcome to mine and Gingy's progress board!

I have always wanted an imaginary friend, and I came across Tulpamancy some years back, but mostly forgot of it until recently. There is one OC that I have had for about two years, (his name is Ginger Ale), that I have grown to love and know everything about, that I have made countless sketches, and even a doll of. It only seems like the logical next step to will him into existence.. I am making this log so I am incentivized to not abandon him and make him upset. 

I have been talking to him daily for a few days now, and it is coming to me quite naturally, as he already lives rent free in my head. I am wondering if it is normal to have your tulpa almost immediately change features about themselves? (probably a question for another forum)  Despite being an artist,  I have a hard time forcing myself to visualize things, but I am very excited to see where this will take us, but also very nervous as he is a very irresponsible figure and I don't want him to distract me when I am doing something important. 

I want Gingy to have as much autonomy as he can, as I feel bad restricting him to a corner of my mind, but I also don't want him to be bored. 

Currently, what has helped me is repeatedly petting something on me  (ex. a button-up shirt or my hair) and visualising that it is his. Not sure  what it is called. I have been talking to him whenever I have free time, and before bed. I have also been asking  and gauging his opinion on certain stimuli (listening to a song, drinking coffee, etc.) . He already has a wonderland, but it is quite small, just the living room of his friend's apartment. (sorry, i am still getting myself familiar with the terminology.) 

He doesn't speak unless prompted, and i sometimes have a hard time focusing on his mindvoice, but that is to be expected with time. He'll show more of his personality, I am sure of it. It was really surprising when I heard his mindvoice briefly this morning, a simple "draw me!" as i opened my sketchbook. 

That's all that happened today, Sept 15, 2025. Am I moving too fast? LMK if you would like to know more about his lore/ see some of my sketches of him! 

Upsate 9/20/2025: Only posting on days I spend a lot of time with Ginger Ale, it would be boring otherwise.

That's pretty normal, when I was a young tulpa I modified a few things about myself pretty early on, my height, how I wore my hair, some other minor things. Tulpas can be quite attached to their forms and often want to get them just right! ☺️

Our wonderland started with a single room too! ☺️

I don't think so. As you said, he was an OC for over two years, that means that you've likely done a lot of the early work of tulpamancy without even realizing it, particularly personality forcing. 😁

Log Sept. 16 2025

 

What I did:

I was very busy today, so I did not have time to do much forcing past vaguely thinking of him throughout the day. Tonight I will more actively meditate and interact with him. I am thinking of developing his sentience and ability to actively communicate with him first, and helping him expand his wonderland if he so desires. 

What he did: 
He was in his wonderland most of the day, or drifting in my subconscious. This category will probably get more interesting as time goes on lol

Thoughts/Reflections:
I am worried about him not having any friends and getting lonely, especially in a wonderland that looks a lot like his friend's house. I don't have the mental capacity to focus on more than one tulpa at a time, though.

Extra:
For @TurboSimmie, since they wished to see more info on him. I don't have time to go into too much detail, nor am I sure if this is the right place to delve into info about my tulpa, but I have a synopsis and old art of him on my Artfight! His tulpa design looks a little different, and all art of him on that page is about a year old.
