Numru February 23 February 23 Like in the sense of that it can change its personality at will and have some emotions at will and being able to be really really smart and have really good memory(basically being able to manage my mind(and theirs) kinda freely like youre managing software) id imagine this would have a skill celling to the abilities but still If it is a thing I could just switch with them and become a superhuman ;o
Pearl February 23 February 23 I have my own will and desire. I am very optimistic, more than my host as an example 😄. I enjoy drawing and can spend hours doing it, independently of what Saruzer thinks. In the end, to have a good memory and become smart, you have to spend time on that, make it your lifestyle 🙂. In this case it will be your tulpa(if you see he/she that way) sitting and attaining knowledge consistently. My recommendation would be to improve these skills by yourself instead, it's much faster 😉. My DMs are open! I will be happy to talk with you whenever I have an opportunity 😇!
Autumn Ren February 24 February 24 Tulpamancy can do some amazing things with the mind, superhuman isn't one that we've considered possible. Different memory and different abilities come from a different perspective, one that potentially isn't as burdened by conditioning, and that can feel like a boost depending on the original's conditioning.
Skyla February 25 February 25 Since our system is a bunch of nonhumans (including the host), we feel for a multitude of reasons limited by the human body and want to overcome it's limits. Here's how we would approach this: It is generally important to consider different methods and compare them; for example, let's consider improving memory: One could practice mnemonic methods ('art of memory'), use flashcard systems with advanced sheduling or — to some extend — tulpamancy. For a deeper understanding of how one interacts with technologies (in this case defined in a very broad term) and how technology interacts with one self, a multitude of additional view can be used; for example: use of technology as a contract: in this example case, using a flashcard system with automatic scheduling can become an obligation. It guarantees that one can recall information to a predefined percentage, setting intervals accordingly, the desired recall however will only achieved by sticking with the review schedule technology also changes the user and comes with an intent: For example, 'a person who drives a car' would just be called a driver, and we would expect them to drive. Note that when thinking about a driver, we are associating something different with them than we would from just a person. How this relates to tulpamancy: It is often said that if one wants to achieve something which is pursuable through tulpamancy, there is another, easier way to do this. I personally however think there is more to it: This statement is true in regards that If your goal is not related to tulpamancy, it would be nonsensical (and somewhat cruel) to create a tulpa — one is not fulfilling the contract (transaction) with their tulpa, which is acknowledging them and giving them space. If you however want to turn your life into a collaboratorive experience and improve life quality, tulpamancy becomes viable (since both sides of the contract are a win-win situation). For some, tulpamancy could also be an even more resource efficient 'self'-improvement method compared to improving a singular skill. For us, tulpamancy has lead to better metacognition, emotional handling, me utilizing dissociation as a tool (which I didn't know about beforehand) and many mental health improvements without intentional pratice other than tulpamancy itself. (I think tulpamancy also seems attractive to some since it changes the hosts (= 'users') sense of self drastically.) To come back to the original question of becoming superhuman — this is quite a broad term, but let's go through a few examples: If you for example want to overcome societal and social structures, tulpamancy is a great way to approach this. If you however just want to manipulate the state of consciousness and the subconscious, going with Chaos Magic or generally transitioning into a world-view where many, many aspects of existence are manipulatable could be a more powerful approach since chaos magic directly focuses on leveraging learned concepts. If I were to somehow restart tulpamancy from zero, I would try to get into a worldview where the percieved reality is highly modifyable first for creating a base canvas where little to no things are of limits for what a tulpa would be capable of. Giving a tulpa the ability to conciously alter their personality at will sounds fairly trivial in my opinion through personality forcing. One can act out as different characters and adapt to situations; so I mean all the things are there. This may be a bit biased since for some headmates in our system, drastically altering personalities is common. The really aspects of a tulpa being realy smart is certainly more difficult to reasonably explain, but it could work to some extend: symbolism can be quite powerful. There has been for example the idea to create a headspace which mimics a library where memories are archived. But also outside of a plural context, general practice and also intuition training also goes a long way. Sandra [original host] - it/they V [tulpagenic] - she/they
