Fun Ghoul February 22, 2013 February 22, 2013 I've been working on my first tulpa for 5 days now; a log of 6 hours and 35 minutes. I hear a voice in the back of my head and can only hold conversations for a maximum of 5 minutes which consume a major amount of energy, I'm usually dizzy/disoriented afterwards. Any advice on a way to maintain these conversations for a longer period of time? Also visualizing is a complete NOPE and if anyone has any advice or methods, I'd love it. P.S. I have a strong idea of what she looks like, but I do give her options over appearance. P.P.S. I don't use Wunderlands. I'd rather a companion in my own reality. Any help = appreciated
waffles February 22, 2013 February 22, 2013 Don't try so hard. Really, 5 days is nothing. You should try to spend less effort conversing; maybe require less contribution from your tulpa. Communication always gets easier over time, so you just need to force more, or practice conversing more, or give it more time. For visualisation, this site has a wealth of visualisation guides. As a starter, if I say to you "cat", did you just 'see' a cat? Same thing as with daydreaming, open-eye visualisation is often easier. Here, trying too hard will often set you back.
Fun Ghoul February 23, 2013 Author February 23, 2013 Thank you. After last night's session, I realize that tulpaforcing is much easier when I'm engaged in something simple that I can just sort of let my mind release. A couple of sessions had been sitting in a chair, closing my eyes, and forcing something to happen. Eh.... no, doesn't work as well. Again. Thank you so much for this advice, it helped.
