Good afternoon, and welcome to my silly progress report. (Upon entering the name of my thread, it seems some rapscallion has chosen the name "Vagabond". Fie on him, I say.)

 

First, a little exposition: I, like a lot of people I'm sure, was originally exposed to the concept of tulpae through the threads on 4chan's /mlp/ in mid-2012. My immediate reaction was to dismiss it as another absurd product of the diseased minds that frequent the site (self included), but something about it just caught my attention and held it.

 

After having lurked through half a dozen threads or so, and reading through some of the guides provided, I made an account here... and promptly forgot about it due to some major life events. Now, however, I find myself with both an abundance of free time and a desire to begin the adventure of tulpaforcing. I have essentially no looming responsibilities for the next 3-4 months, and am hoping to make some serious progress in that time!

 

A few notes:

1. I will likely be keeping an hour count. Mostly just so I can mark down major milestones when they occur.

2. Updates to this thread may be sporadic, due to spotty Internet access. Hopefully this won't be an issue, but my ISP is somewhat unreliable in terms of allowing me access for more than a few hours at a time. I'll be keeping a hand-written progress journal, that I will then type up for this thread.

 

As far as current progress, I am in the process of outlining traits for my as-yet-unnamed tulpa. As the name of the thread suggests, I'm going for a sort of musician- or storyteller-type result... Though as my time lurking has taught me, trying to force an aspect onto a tulpa is stupid.

 

I believe I've babbled enough! Hopefully, the next update will come later this evening, after my first serious tulpaforcing session.
